Stayed here 2 nights in a little group of 2 couples. Cons - the 2 bedroom unit consisted of 1 bedroom with twin beds, which along with the only bathroom was accessed through a semi enclosed space in which a double bed was located. Hence a little awkward with no privacy for one couple. - carpets in the living area...

Very slow check in. 20 minutes. Everyone wearing coats because cold in office. Room small, tv sucks, 20 years old. Poor color. 18" no movies Carpet stained. Big stain. Cement blocks for walls. Otherwise it seems clean. Biggest deal is 10$ taxi ride anywhere.

The Driftwood Hotel was great! Everyone was very nice & accomodating. Room was nice and clean. It's a good basic hotel for a good price in a perfect location. I'm not a high-maintenance fancy person so this hotel worked well for me. I had good sleeps and enjoyed my stay! Thank~you!!

We arrived by ferry at 2:30AM and the shuttle bus we'd arranged was there within a few minutes after our arrival. Shuttle driver was great. Room was large and comfortable, 2-bedroom with mini-kitchen. My wife is fussy about pillows and she rated them (and the bedding) as very good. From the room we had a great view of the mountain...

We actually had two stays here over the course of our vacation (split with a trip to Sitka). First stay - in Room 320 - huge room/suite. 2 nights. All was well - but the smoke alrm was connected - but hanging off the ceiling - we did report this but it being Labor Day Weekend - was not fixed...

Dear Charleygirl, Thank you for taking the time to review us. I'm sorry to hear about the smoke detector. We should have been able to fix this immediately, even though it was a holiday weekend. I'm pleased to hear that the rest of your stay went well. It sounds like you stayed in one of the rooms we recently worked...

We had a great time at the Driftwood Hotel! Our flight got in earlier than check in time so they upgraded us with no charge to a one bedroom room. The location was perfect, downtown and close to everything so it was very easy to walk to almost everything! The room was clean and spacious and the service was great!...

Dear Catherine, I'm very happy to hear that we were able to accommodate you and that you enjoyed your upgrade. It's not something we can do for every guest, but it's always great when something like this works out.

We chose this hotel for its location- easy walk to town, the kitchenette- saved money on a few meals, and free airport shuttle- cheerful driver and on time. It's not modern, but clean and had comfortable beds. There are two very good restaurants across the parking lot.

The Driftwood is a great hotel for re-grouping! After spending 5 days kayaking around Admiralty Island is was a perfect landing spot to regroup for our next adventure!! Staying here in a nice, large clean room with laundry room down the hall was just the deal.

This doesn't look like a very nice place; it is well used outside, but they are remodeling. Everyone is nice, and the beds are new and comfortable. We enjoyed having the kitchenette, and it was stocked with pots, utensils, etc. , so we could fix our own breakfast, lunch and dinner. Large TV. We stayed two different times, one week...

My wife and I stayed at the Driftwood twice in August. Our first stay was for two nights in a standard room and our second stay was for three nights in a two bedroom suite. Both types of rooms met our expectations and we thought they were both priced reasonably for what they included. Among our primary reasons for choosing...
