Its cleanliness is another highlight, with the housekeeping team earning praise for maintaining spotless surroundings. Pybus Point Lodge is a hidden gem offering breathtaking views of mountains, dense forests, and serene waters.

The rustic yet comfortable cabins provide all necessary amenities and stunning vistas of the surrounding wilderness. The lodge’s sense of peace and tranquility makes it an ideal destination for those seeking to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Pybus Point Lodge caters to a wide range of interests with activities such as fishing, guided wildlife tours, kayaking, and hiking. Fishing enthusiasts can enjoy abundant opportunities to catch salmon and halibut, while nature lovers can explore the area’s rich wildlife, including one of the largest populations of brown bears. The lodge provides top-notch gear and experienced guides to ensure a memorable adventure.

Dining at the lodge is exceptional, with gourmet meals prepared using fresh, local ingredients. Daryl and the team are incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive, going above and beyond to make guests feel welcome and taken care of. Whether you’re an angler, a wildlife enthusiast, or simply looking to relax in a serene natural setting, Pybus Point Lodge offers an unforgettable Alaskan experience.

I went to Pybus Point with some college buddies and it exceeded my already very high expectations. Highly experienced and personable guides knew exactly where to catch fish and we consistently met our daily limits. It was unusual to wait more than a few minutes at fishing spot before more than one of us had a fish on. We were fortunate to have beautiful late summer whether and calm waters throughout our trip. It was not unusual to see a dozen humpback whales throughout a day on the water as well as sea otters, seals, and orcas. With the Coho running we had excellent luck and were able to watch a grizzly bears fish on the beach from the safety of the boat. Hiking and fly-fishing on Admiralty Island was available and exposed us to some incredible fishing and terrain like nothing any of us had seen before.

The all inclusive nature of the trip proved to be worth every penny. The meals were outstanding, with fresh seafood available daily as well as non-seafood items, which were equally delicious. There was no "roughing it," as the lodges were beautiful and had all the conveniences of home.

All of our fish was filleted, frozen and packaged on site each day when we returned from fishing and we each returned home with 150 lbs fish, including halibut, lingcod, rockfish, and salmon.

In short, this was truly the most incredible trip I have taken in my life, and I sincerely hope to return. I cannot recommend this place highly enough!

The absolute most organized professional group of people I have ever had the pleasure to be around. From the time we arrived and the entire crew met us at the dock and greeted us, every single meticulous detail was covered. There was always somebody ready and willing to take care of any request you had. Food was incredible fishing was great and everything was supplied whether recreationally or the creature comforts and meals. Just can't say enough about these great folks that operate here. When you go out fishing, you will have a halibut on in literal seconds. Lingcod is the same and rockfish and sea bass are so plentiful it's ridiculous. If you're on the fence about which Lodge to choose for your family or business trip, you shouldn't hesitate to book these guys! Top shelf high class organization! Danny C

This was an amazing trip. Everything taken care of from breakfast, lunch, dinner to doing laundry while we fished. Totally relaxing. Staff went above and beyond by sending boats to pick us up when the fog in Juneau was to thick to fly out. When we got there we ate lunch and went straight to fishing. Lots of beautiful scenery and sea life. Captain Ryan was incredible and made sure everyone was Happy. We spent a day with Captain Matt who knew right where silvers we’re running and we had a great day pulling them in. The lodge is beautiful with lots of updates and like staying in a fine hotel. The staff is on top of every thing you could imagine wanting or needing. Don’t let the cost detour you, it is money well spent and an experience you’ll never forget

There is simply not a better place that exist on the planet for a fishing trip and outdoor experience of a lifetime. The lodge and bedding 5 star/Smiling staff and service 5 star/Boats ,dock crews and captains as well as 50 lb boxes filleted and packed with fish that stayed cold all the back to Philly ..5 star! Hump back whales sounding And Bald Eagles waking me up every day! Big Halibut and Delicious Rock bass cooked any way you like by the first class kitchen staff. The boat was so comfortable my wife fished all four days and enjoyed the giant jacuzzi tubs….Book it right now !
Their boots and jackets and bibs are better than anything you own! I can’t wait to go back …I can’t type anymore because my arm is still sore a week later from reeling 120 lb Halibut at Pybus Point Lodge

You will be welcomed into the Pybus family the moment you set foot on their dock. I immediately felt right at home.
No detail was over looked. The rooms are clean and comfortable, gourmet meals are prepared for you and their fishing guides/captains are knowledgeable and so fun! With Captain Ryan, be ready for catching rather than fishing! Our captain filled every request for fishing, sightseeing, and adventure. This positive experience was more amazing than I have ever had! Also a great trip to bring kids 10 and older. It is expensive, but worth every penny. I hope to visit again soon!

Glaciers, whales, fishing, hiking, kayaking, beautiful views, and a gorgeous place to hang out, eat and relax. Every person / staff member I met at Pybus gave it 100%. I’ve never been to a place quite like this where everyone loved what they did and did it well. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean and well taken care of place surrounded by ocean views, scenery and wild life that has so much depth to it.

Our stay at Pybus was fabulous! We loved the location, the fishing, and most of all, the people. Casey & Tara made our fishing days amazing, both in their expertise and their friendliness. The housekeeping and dining staff knocked it out of the park with the meals.

You can't beat the natural beauty of this location - starting with the seaplane ride to & from Juneau to the natural beauty of Pybus Point Lodge. 100% recommend.

Based on trip advisor recommendations we changed our brief trip to Juneau to include a 4 day stay at Pybus Point Lodge. What a stroke of genius that was. From the moment we left terra firma in Juneau on the float plane to what seems like the end of the earth we were treated like we were the most important guests on site. The staff are exceptional, from Jody and Scott who organize everything - including last minute guest preferences for which activity to partake in - to the attentive staff to the expert guides who captain the boats. The new lodges are deluxe and comfortable. The food is plentiful and delicious: come in with your catch and tell them you want to eat whatever you caught:AOK. Prefer a steak or chicken, that is fine too. Breakfast your favorite meal: the home made pulled pork is addictive and the cod fish hash astonishes. Four days on the water including an all day trip to see a vanishing glacier and countless opportunities to photograph humpback whales, orcas and brown bears yielded an impressive 160 pounds of filleted halibut, salmon, rock fish and cod for our trip home. Apropos the questions below: there are no cars; there is a hot tub. The shuttle service is a float plane.

My husband and I returned from our Pybus Point Lodge vacation today. Alaska has been on our bucket list for years, but when I heard about Pybus Point Lodge, I knew immediately that is where we needed to go. Jody communicated with us everything we needed to prepare for this trip and meeting her and Scott upon arrival felt like coming home. The scenery is overwhelming in every possible direction! Starting from the seaplane ride to the lodge, sitting on the private balcony of our cabin in the morning and watching bald eagles, kayaking, fishing from the boats or hiking on the island, the picturesque views are endless. The staff was unlike any other and extremely attentive, greeting us by name each time they saw us and asked us about our day when they saw us each evening. I never cared much for fishing until this trip and I cannot wait until we get to do this again! Catching huge halibut was so much fun and Captain Casey was patiently waiting for me to reel mine in every time. I was easily distracted by the whales, orcas and seals around us everyday, but so happy we got to spend time filming and enjoying the moment without ever feeling rushed. Captain Casey took us out to see a huge glacier and let us enjoy the scenery of waterfalls and seals lounging on icebergs along the way. We were taken by seaplane by our pilot Brant, to the hot springs tucked right next to the raging mountain river, which was breathtakingly beautiful. Starting each day with a delicious breakfast prepared by the on-site chef and ending it with a gourmet meal never disappoints. Each day, we could help ourselves to sandwiches, salads, fruit, drinks and other snacks that we could pack in our bags and take with us on our adventures. Grace, Carah, Steve, Kota, Vance, Mel, Marnie, Kat and so many others, made this a dream come true. Josh filmed with a drone and asked for our pictures so he could create a beautiful keepsake video of our adventures, which is priceless. We're elated and beyond grateful to have been able to visit this corner of the world and see and do so many things that feel like "once in a lifetime" experiences. Thank you Pybus Point Lodge!

Answer from Scott J
As part of our all inclusive guided packages, we will provide the fish processing as part of the trip. Each day the catch is cleaned, fileted, vacuum packed and flash frozen. Right on our docks. When you get ready to depart we will box it in an insulated, airline approved, shipping box for you to take with you as checked baggage. This would be the least expensive way to get the fish home. As an alternative, there are various options for shipping that we can look at as well.

They had shampoo and conditioner, not sure on the blow dryer, I didn't notice. Sorry, I don't use one. That said, if they don't have one in the room, I'm sure they would be more than willing to accommodate if you asked. They were great that way.

Is there any type of phone/cell service there?
Answer from Jennifer F
Athens, Georgia4 contributions
Cell service for phone calls was spotty, every now and then at different fishing spots we would be able to make calls on the boat. I could text and email from the lodge. But sending pictures or downloading large files was a bit difficult, but basic communication of emails and text messages from the lodge was fine. I was glad to put my cell phone down for a few days!
