We flew into Juneau and didn’t want to stay in a hotel. We wanted a camping experience and we found it here staying in one of the glamping tents. Great set up, all the bedding was provided. They also have laundry and showers available 24/7, and complimentary coffee. A great place to stay in Juneau
Google maps and Glacier Nalu Campgroung Resort's website allowed me to make the best choice for me regarding camping. I was a solo camper and I needed safety and comfort. The location is ideal to hike the West Glacier Trailhead, only five minutes away. The Ferry terminal is also five minutes away ( Haines, Skagway )
My rating would be 5 for short-term guests and 3 for long-term guests. The campground is in a great location near the glacier and not far from the ferry terminal. About 20-25 minutes to downtown. Friendly staff. Well-kept grounds. Utilities work great. Several nice areas to just hang out. The reason I give 3 for long-term guests mostly revolves around their punitive fine for owning a washing machine. I was fined $40 per month just for owning a washing machine. As a single RVer, I use half of the water that a couple would use. Even adding in the 35 or so gallons to do laundry once a week, I would still use significantly LESS than a couple without a washing machine. Yet I had to pay significantly more. My pleas for logic fell on deaf ears. There are also a few annoyances for long-term guests. The park refuses to allow mail to be forwarded to the park. They expect guests to mow weeds. They also send out nastygrams if you exceed the 5mph speed limit by one. But again, short-term guests should enjoy their stay.…
We spent 8 weeks in Alaska and stayed in a lot of full hook up rv parks. Ths one was the best of all of them. Everything worked as advertised. The park has many amenities they dont talk about you won't be disappointed.
We came here on our trip north to stay for 3 days and it was really worth it. The ladies in the office are so friendly and helpful. The amenities are awesome, everything clean and decorated with love and devotion to pamper the guests and make them feel comfy. There is even a TV in the laundry room. Great job in managing this place, very recommendable!!
We arrived in Juneau on a Saturday evening with reservations to stay at another RV Park, which didn't work out. At 9:15pm, I spoke with Linda at Spruce Meadow RV Park and she said "come on over." So we arrived around 9:30pm and Corrine was there to meet us, check us in, give us all kinds of great information, and guide us to our site and help us get backed in and hooked up (in the rain). Wonderful, amazing customer service. We were so thankful for their help and for providing such a great RV park - clean, great washrooms and laundry, nice sites, and extra amenities such as shelters for tenters and outdoor eating. Close to Mendenhall Glacier, an easy drive to Juneau, and close to shopping. We would stay here again, no doubt. Highly recommend it.
Stayed here following medical procedure and was very comfortable. Clean facilities, helpful, friendly staff. Free internet, close shopping. Great place to stay for the week. Would highly recommend for whatever reason!
Corinne was the perfect host! The bathrooms are so clean and well supplied! There was soap, lotion, and all the things you'd find at home! We had trouble with our RV three-way fridge....Corinna called a personal friend at the gas company to help us! She is a wealth of information about the area...showing us where to park and how to avoid all the crowds of Juneau! The park is well kept with private spots. A good place to base your travels around Juneau....much nicer than the National Park. Good internet and laundry facilities.
Travelling from Vermont to Juneau by RV; this was one of the nicest parks in the northwest. Arrived late (very), had called ahead and woke up owner. Nice park, well kept, site all ready for us, info in the office had us all set for out nearly midnight arrival. Settled up the next morning, got all the scoop on who to see, where to go. Very friendly, very laid back, nice amenities. After visiting campgrounds in Alberta and Yukon, this was a real find. And the WiFi worked!!! It is near town and handy to the Mendenhall Glacier which is and was our objective.
We arrived at the campground really late in the night with just our backpack and without knowing what we will do the day after. Corinna, the ower, was so nice, she help us a lot during our stay, find us a taxi and even another campground for our stay at Skagway ! She was like our second mom duringt his few days! We will never be able to thanks her more for what she did for us!
