We have five rustic, open concept cabins each with two queen beds, newly installed gas stove fireplace, kitchenette, private bathroom, and a porch with a gas grill. All cabins have an unobstructed view of Kachemak bay and the Kenai mountains with views of Ring of Fire volcanoes visible on clear days. Enjoy your stay with us cooking freshly caught Halibut from the Bay on your private grill or relax in the hot tub with the same breathtaking views as the cabins!

These cabins are nothing short of amazing! The one we had was the Moose Cabin! It was closest to the hot tub with us practically brand new! The cabin is very modern, updated, and clean. We were very, very impressed with the cleanliness and updated room because most things in Alaska are bit on the older side; these cabins are what we would expect from something like an upscale property like a Hilton, etc.

Everything you need including cookware, a propane grill, full size refrigerator/freezer, satellite TV, WiFi, gas fireplace for heat, and a beautiful view are all included!

Randy is a great host, very friendly and if we needed anything he was more than happy to assist.

In addition to the hot tub there is a great fire pit with all the essentials there to use as well as skewers for making s’mores and more!

We will be back!

We stayed for one night and I loved our stay. There are two queen size beds, a tiny eating area and sink. Basic cookware, plates, utensils, cups, microwave, and dish soap/sponge was provided. Full size fridge with freezer. Each cabin has it’s own gas grill right outside on each patio deck. Thanks for the microwave popcorn too!

The view is awesome and they have a salt water hot tub and fire pit for use! They provide kindling, logs, lighter, and grilling forks. They didn’t have an employee there 24/7, but they do provide a cell phone number to call if you need assistance.

I can tell they put a lot of thought to make the guest experience better. Just tiny things here and there. The towels and bed linen are so soft and smell freshly laundered. Comfortable bed too.

They have an electric heater Franklin stove that kept us warm. My only complaint is it kept beeping throughout the night and waking me up. I have no idea what the beep was.

We had a great stay at this location. The rooms are done with great detail. I was surprised at the thought put into everything including all the small amenities that were included. Coffee, popcorn, hot chocolate, teas, laundry soap, new washer and dryer in the room, etc. Beautiful view and a very comfortable place to stay.

Our group of two couples stayed at this property for three nights during the Kachemak Bay Shorebird Festival. We were very comfortable during our time there. The cabins are well built with nice covered porches and a very well maintained hot tub on site. We used the propane grill and it worked perfectly. Plenty of towels and kitchenette was pretty well stocked with the essentials. Will certainly stay here again if in Homer in the future.

We drove around Homer and the Spit area looking for a place to stay for a couple of nights. We had rented a camper van but by the end of our two-week trip in Alaska, we were tired of camping in the rain (and the mosquitoes). Friends had recommended Homer Spit. But the waterfront camping was crowded with NO privacy (i.e., no trees). And Homer Spit is touristy. Not our thing. Fortunately, the Alaskan Suites had one cabin left. What a find! Rustic, very clean log cabin overlooking Kachemak Bay and the mountains. Peaceful and just what we needed during the final leg of our Alaska trip. Arlene in the office was very nice and helpful. They even have pre-packaged supplies for S'mores for guests to enjoy at the fire pit in the evening. If you're lucky, you might even see whales go by in the bay! Each cabin has its own patio and chairs, and you can park directly in front of your cabin. In the future, I would recommend booking ahead as there are only five or six cabins. We only lucked out with a same day booking because of the pandemic. Tourism is way down in Alaska this summer. I do think the property should be renamed "Alaska Cabins by the Bay." Thank you for a very enjoyable stay!

What a lovely response !!! Thank you for taking time to post a review. I think you captured how I would describe this property. It is always nice to be in the center of the action, but coming up the hill to unwind in a quiet, peaceful setting is the cherry on top. Thank you and do come again !!! Arlene

Our stay was perfect in a cute, well appointed cabin featuring comfortable beds and a gas fed woodstove, a nice kitchen area, a deck with gas grill, and huge windows to enjoy an outstanding view of the bay and mountains. We had friends staying in two other cabins and we all agreed it was our favorite accommodations out of all the really nice lodges, cabins, and hotels we had been in while visiting AK. We cooked a wonderful steak dinner and ate together on our deck, toured the Homer area from this convenient location and enjoyed the hot tub at the end of the day. There are only a few cabins so this is a very quite place to stay. A kind and knowledgeable staff member checked to see if we needed anything during our stay but was very unobtrusive.
Highly recommend.

Great location on the top of a bluff which provides for lovely views of the mountain and water. You can hop right back on the main road and get to town within a short time and over to the spit in about 20-30 minutes. There is a Safeway down the street and Fat Olives is a very convenient place to eat/pickup dinner. The cabin had plenty of room with a nice size bathroom. Good sized fridge for leftovers and a microwave to heat those yummy leftovers up. I would suggest that you pre-plan your food and where you want to eat out b/c many of the restaurants are only open 5 days a week and/or reservations go fast!

We stayed here for two nights of our honeymoon & wish we had booked more nights! I researched every place to stay in Homer & this is THE one. The view alone is beyond spectacular. The cabin is cozy, spacious, has good light, a screened in window to let in the cleansing fresh air, and every amenity one could need for a short or extended stay. We also loved that this location was a few miles away from the touristy hustle & bustle of downtown Homer. We could quickly go in town to shop or enjoy a meal out and just as easily buy some groceries & not have to leave the cabin at all with all the comforts of home. As we were checking out, my husband stated that he would be back to Alaska soon just to stay here! *The picture below is from sitting on the bed looking out the window!

Alaskan Suites has charming cabins with everything needed to stay for a week, with a magnificent view of the ocean out the back window. Our cabin had a nice gas stove heater that was very useful to dry out wet clothing as well as charming to look at. It also had a gas grill on the outside patio, a hot tub at the end of the row of cabins, and a fire pit at the other end. The staff was very helpful in giving advice on what to see and where to eat in Homer.

Our stay at the Alaskan Suites, Moose cabin, was very relaxing and peaceful.
The service was personalized and perfect. The cabin was beautiful, neat and clean with very comfy beds. Really liked the high quality black out curtains that were easy to maneuver and closed out all natural light for bedtime. The cabin is just off main highway but the traffic is low in the evenings. We highly recommend Alaskan Suites and you will enjoy the beautiful views of the Kachemak Bay.

Hello. All of the cabins seemed nice but we liked the one on the end because it was right next to the hot tub and it was farthest away from the common breakfast room (but it never seemed particular noisy). The view was spectacular here too.

Though we only occupied the one cabin. They all are the same interior and the VIEW is amazing. You can not make a mistake with any of them. All cabins were occupied during our stay and we had no clue there was anyone near us. Yes, this was the BEST accommodation on our 15 day Alaska trip.
