Our room was recently renovated, very clean and nice. Comfy bed, cool shower with jets and plenty of hot water. Parking right in front. Inn is basically a fishing accommodation, cozy lobby with tv, books and games. Very homey. Staff are friendly and helpful. Nothing fancy but suited our needs perfectly for two nights. Our son and wife had an incredibly small room, much like a sailboat! No storage for luggage, small TV and bathroom. Best probably for single person.

Hotel's Favorite
Having grown up in the eclectic small town of Ojai, CA, when I first came to Homer, Alaska six years ago it felt very much like home. Through random good fortune, I found The Driftwood Inn in old town Homer. This little historic inn not only has a truly spectacular setting near a bluff overlooking beautiful Katchemak Bay, but owners Adrienne and Alex Sweeny are the most gracious, friendly, truly genuine people anyone could have the pleasure of meeting. As I was about to walk from the inn numerous miles out to the end of Homer Spit to catch the Alaska Marine Hwy ferry Tustumena my roll-a-bag handle snapped and broke. Seeing my predicament, Alex and Adrienne generously found an excellent used roll-a-bag in their storage area and sent me on my way. What incredibly wonderful people! I'm so very grateful to them. Another remarkable element about staying at The Driftwood Inn is the vast array and variety of lodging choices they provide. The most unique are the small, beautifully wood lined, "ship's quarters cabins", literally like those aboard an old ship. The entire place is imbued with character and history. Ask for a copy of the inn's history when you check in. Absolutely fascinating! Take a walk on the trail from the bluff down to Bishop's Beach and behold a scene of astonishing beauty, between the peaceful ocean and the towering, majestic peaks draped with glaciers descending to the sea. This is the place for the artistic soul to deeply regenerate in blissful solitude. No wonder Homer has such a large number of creative artists and musicians. Thank You, Adrienne and Alex, for providing the perfect place to experience the amazing beauty of this region of Alaska.

This was a great location as it was 1/2 walk from the water. We stayed in the shipsquarter room which had bunk beds and was VERY small, but we were informed of that when we made the reservation. It was a perfect economical stay as we aren’t ones to be in our rooms much except for sleeping and showering anyway. Everything was sufficient and clean. I gave the stay 4 stars instead of 5 simply because the room could be updated. What does make it a 5 star stay in the staff - WOW!! WOW!! They went ABOVE and BEYOND for us - they booked our water taxi reservation, made our dinner reservation (without us even asking). There were numerous little things that Mark/Prissy/another lady (blonde) that I did not catch her name that did for us! Even though we received limited housekeeping services, we received a text asking if we needed new linens/trash emptied etc. Fantastic place to stay! You will have no regrets staying at the Driftwood Inn!

Excellent customer service, above and beyond. The rooms were very comfortable. It felt like home away from home. The staff always had hot coffee and a smile on their face I would definitely recommend this place for anyone looking to have a fun weekend or any other type of relaxing stay. They didn’t rush us to check out and we’re always there if we needed anything.

Small, clean and warm place, great and friendly service by the staff. The smoke alarm started going off in the middle of the night for no reason, mark came right up and took care of it for us. Laughed it off
