As a local Alaskan girl (from Ketchikan and now in the big city of Anchorage) I can tell you this business is definitely run by Alaskans and looks out for us locals! If you are an out of town guest you will get to see how us Alaskans really are! We are friendly, kind, take of each other, respect each other and genuinely care about how each other are doing! That is how all the staff are at Heritage RV! They are an Amazing group of people and worth taking the time to get to know each of their names! Thank you Marina, Roxie, Sherry, & the wonderful night crew who make sure we have our favorite site ready for us when we arrive from Anchorage late on Friday night after working all week! Most of all thank you for taking such wonderful care of having a place to store our boat and 5th wheel and keep a careful eye on them during the work week between our visits! You will continue to be our Homer home away from home! Gunalchéesh ho ho!!!! (Thank you from the bottom of our hearts in Tlingit)…
Impeccable service, super clean, fantastic attention to detail. Each site has a picnic table table and fire pit. Couldn't have asked for more and I'm picky! Great views and not in the thick of the boardwalk scene. Wifi worked great and I was close to the far end of the park.
This place is a little expensive but amazing location and views right on the spit with full hook-ups. Be sure to reserve early for holiday weekends if you want to be on the water. Walking distance to all the shops and charters on the spit.
Incredible setting (we booked a beachfront site), which has a firepit and picnic table with a great view of the water. All hookups which were well down. Restrooms were very nice. But note the park is basically a parking lot with few trees but if you have a beachfront site your focus is on the water. It did cost $72 a night ($78 with tax). Easy walk or drive to the Spit center although we did not care for it - basically tour offices and some stores.
We are an Alaskan couple who wanted to get away for a few days. This was the spot! Beautiful views and a walk on the beach right off our campsite. Hookups were easy, clubhouse and Gift Shop were spotless. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable without interference. We will be back!
Friendly service, beautiful beach view. Full hookups. Our son enjoyed fishing in the lagoon. Very convenient to shops and restaurants. Walking distance to everything. Quiet and scenic location...Get a beachfront spot!
Memorable stay. The beachfront views here are a 180 degree view across open water, mountains and a glacier. Its a remarkable location. All water/power amenities to connect to. WiFi works quote well. Nice clean office/laundry area/ Two very nice outdoor grills for free use. Pricey for a campground but this is a nice clean place to stay. Grounds were being mowed as I arrived, they take care and the entire facility looks spotless. Walk to Spit shops and restaurants. And a bonus you can walk about 5 yards from your campsite to the bayside beach that you face or 30 yards from your campsite and be on the oceanside beach to watch the sunset. Not many places offer the sense of openness that this location does. Memorable, look forward to a future visit
Great customer service. Great views live having the fire pit. Glad they had grills as we had an issue with ours. All hook up easy to use. Great Gift shop and WiFi. On the Spit! Thank you for the hospitality.
Alaskan residents...I have stayed and happily paid the high prices for the view and hookups. I have stayed in my 30 ft RV but planned a glamping trip this time, (and many times past) so I could bring my truck...sleeping tent..gazebo..coffee pot etc. NO GO! Heritage has gotten too good for Alaskan tenters! Move on... other places happy to still serve real Alaskans!!
As the Spit came into view it was breath taking beautiful. Check in was easy and the staff was amazing. Full hook ups, shower, laundry, satelite tv, gift shop, computers, printer, and grills to cook your food. I forgot my fishing license, wasn't an issue. Everything is kept immaculately clean! My family is leaving today but I'm writing this post before we leave, that's how much we loved it. We'll be back with friends, and I'll invest in a camera beforehand. Hot coffee, watching the sunrise over the mountains and water with a cool morning breeze, awesome. Perfect location, shops and food all within walking distance.
