The Spyglass Inn on 385 East Fairview in Homer, Alaska is a quaint seafaring house that fits nicely into a town whose heritage is tied to the sea and existence upon fishermen, tourists and outdoor adventurists. A stay at Spyglass is about feeling pampered and comfortable, both at the inn and within the town. The proprietor knows her business and... More

Pat is a great hostess with a plethora of knowledge about the area. She packs a great breakfast to go if you won't be at the inn in the morning. We stayed in a room on the lower level of the house, so had a semi-private entrance shared with the other room downstairs.

Like all of the other reviews I have to give high marks to Pat for her wonderful hospitality. Excellent home baked goods each morning and fantastic home made granola (got the recipe)! Very convenient location to town. Comfortable rooms. I even came home one evening to a moose lounging by the garage! Homer is a great town - even in... More

Thank you, Pat, for such a fantastic stay! I highly recommend to anyone who's looking for a cozy, lovely stay in beautiful Homer.

Really nice rooms. Nicely decorated and everything very clean. Good location - handy to everything. Beautiful deck and garden. Pat had great suggestions for things to do and see and seems to know everybody in town.

Outstanding breakfast: eggs, bacon, home-made cakes and granola, goat cheese, goat butter, home made jams, all made of local stuff. The owner was very nice, rooms were very clean and the entire house was cozy.

The rooms are really attractive, and comfortable but the best part is Pat herself. She is very very helpful and accommodating. It was readily apparent that she is a significant leader in the community, well connected and can make things happen. She is highly respected and most enjoyable. She will make your stay special and you will enjoy her conversation... More

Pat welcomes you as part of the family, making you instantly feel at home. Central location is useful if you don't have a car - can walk to most places in town (though the spit is out of town always, you'd need transport for that). Rooms are lovely - Pat is a creative lady, the quilts on the beds are... More

Pat was a perfect host. She made it clear that she will take care of everything. Breakfast was customized and consisted of eggs, pineapple cake, granola, cheese, yogurt, peaches... It was excellent. The room and bathroom was clean and comfortable. Our room had a private bathroom. Lots of wildlife the the backyard- moose with babies....

We stayed one night in the Captains Quarters a large comfortable, immaculately kept room with a deck and private entrance. Pat, the host prepared a wonderful breakfast of homemade pastry, eggs, bacon, cereal, etc. A porkcupine visited the back yard. We did not get to see the resident moose. One of the best B&B we have experienced.
