Super clean, free showers (while misty water spray not ideal to rinse hair or tricky body parts), lots of "please don't rules" to follow (eg: no clothes line while there is nowhere else to hang your delicates, no door step mat while it's been pouring rain, no washing up in bathroom while there is no other dish/mud sink...), prices up to 2 people then extra fare for additional travelers older than 5 year old (to take into considration if you are a family), and most of all, managers refused to consider a refund, only one hour after we paid the extra night: there was no ferry until the next week. Our last chance was the same day, within 30min before they closed the gate. We rushed back to the campground to grab our trailer and the manager refused a refund despite me explaining this unfortunate last minute change of plan. Not cool.…

We stayed here for three nights in August and it was excellent. The whole park is very well maintained and clean. We had some delays in checkout due to a sick child and they kindly let us check out a bit later with no extra charge. We will be returning again to stay next year. We highly recommend this RV park.

No “monkey bidness” here! This is a great place to stay! Nice grassy spaces, clean showers with lots of hot water & no coins to feed. Haines is a lovely town in a spectacular setting & everything is within easy walking distance from this RV park.

The Hoffman’s have the cleanest campground we have ever seen. If you are tired of dusty dirty campgrounds, this place will make you happy! Laura is especially helpful with advice on restaurants and wildlife sightings. Very personable and hard working couple! The laundry and showers are immaculate . Not to mention the grassy areas surrounded by mountains and easy access to downtown Haines. Highly recommend !

Such a pleasure to stay at such a clean, spacious, meticulously maintained rv park. Owners are kind & efficient, very accomodating. This park is within easy walking distance from town. Beautiful mountains, lakes, forest and ocean views. We highly recommend Hitchup RV park in beautiful Haines Alaska.

We very much enjoyed our 4-day stay at Haines Hitch-Up. The owners offer a very well maintained property with level sites, full hook-ups, and a clean and convenient building with showers and laundry. Owners were extremely pleasant and helpful, and clearly take care to provide a great experience for guests. Highly recommended!

My husband and I had reservations at the Hitch-Up, and on our way there, had a major problem with our truck. We ended up spending 3.5 weeks at the park, unplanned! However, we could not have been at a better place. The park is absolutely immaculate, and you can see how all the staff and the owners take such good care of everything. The bathrooms are pristine, and so are the grounds. George and Laura, the owners, were so kind to us, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. If you are camping in Haines, you will not find a nice campground than the Hitch-Up. I would give it ten stars if I could.

We stayed here the day before boarding the ferry. The neatly kept grass sites were a contrast to other gravel or dirt parks. The bathrooms & showers were clean, free and unfettered. Very friendly staff.

The showers were very clean but the water was so cold my teeth were chattering. When I complained to owner she said she would tell her husband. No apology...no compensation. There was another campground in town that charged $2 for 6 minutes. I wish I had gone there. So dissapointed

We apologize that your experience at our park was not acceptable. We thank you for bringing this problem to our attention. We work very hard to keep everything in this park clean and in good working order but unfortunately sometimes things do break. We found that the mechanical valve for the hot water had failed. We replaced the valve and the showers again are nice and hot. Again, we apologize that we failed to meet your expectations as well as any other guests who may have had a similar problem. Stayed here just as it opened in late May. You could not find more helpful people. The site was perfect with excellent sites and the cleanest bathrooms anywhere. Would I recommend this rv park - absolutely.
