I arrived on the fast ferry from Skagway, and was so pleased that the B&B was really close by. It's about a mile from town, so if you're not the walking type, you will need a car or bike. I loved it....the guest accommodations are on the third floor, and have stairs that go to up to your own entrance,... More

Our hostess Laura was incredibly accommodating in preparing foods that were gluten free. From home made sausage to fresh muffins, pancakes and French toast. It was all safe for me to eat as well as delicious. The room was clean and comfortable. We would definitely recommend this property.

We arrived by ferry on Monday morning. We toured a bit & then found our way to the B & B. Laura greeted us by name & had everything ready. Laura was still getting her gift store ready for the tourist season which is next week so I wasn't able to shop. Our room was very cheerful at the front... More

We arrived in Haines in the middle of the night on the ferry and we found our Sheltered Harbor. Our room was clean and comfortable and had a private bath. The breakfast was especially good. Our hostess had prepared some homemade muffins and gave us some for the road. Needless to say, they did not go to waste. The Sheltered... More

We booked in for one night and left three days later. We had a large, comfortable and quiet room (#1 I think). Picture windows covering both exterior walls and a wonderful view. i would be comfortable here for a week or longer. Breakfasts were great; home made, lots of special goodies, and our hosts were great company. They also have... More

We were driving the Whitehorse - Skagway - Haines - Haines Junction - Whitehorse loop and needed a stop over for a night. We had a comfortable room, the owner was pleasant and helpful... overall a good choice for a one night stop on a road trip. Nothing fancy, but clean and convenient. Nice view out the window, despite the... More

We were warmly welcomed and had a very nice instruction to the rooms and services. We stayed for two nights and enjoyed resting in our room. The hosts are very friendly and the breakfast with fresh made warm pancakes and little sausages as much as you want, fresh homemade jams of cherry and strawberry was really delicious. If we ever... Our group took three rooms and loved the waterfront view. We did observe many eagles as promised. Three in our group eat a gluten free diet and we were easily accommodated at breakfast - even gf pancakes made for us! Convenient to a great dinner spot as well.

We stayed at A Sheltered Harbor for nine days and had a wonderful time. Our room was cozy and clean. Each morning, Laura and Byron had an array of breakfast choices. They always had hot items made fresh - sausage and pancakes or sausage and french toast, as well as, fresh muffins each day, fruit, yogurt, and a choice of... More

We had room #1 -room with the most gorgeous water and mountain views right out your front window. We were entertained by the Eagles soaring while sitting on the front porch or sitting in the table looking out the window! The King size bed was very comfortable. The breakfasts were awesome, plentiful, and included fresh fruit, yogurt, warm homemade chocolate... More
