We only spent one night here but should have stayed longer. This B&B is in as the name suggests in the old army Fort Seward area. This B&B was actually one of the original senior Officers quarters. Norm and his wife have restored the house and made it a great place to stay. Our room overlooked the old parade ground... More

Norm & Sue are gracious hosts and the B&B is spectacular in location, view, home comfort, accessibility and Norm's knowledge of the area. We biked to down town and rafted the Chilkat river Haines Rafting Company thru the Eagle Preserve made famous by National Geographic. Norm provided pick-up and drop-off service and guidance that was invaluable. The common kitchen was... More

We felt very much at home in this lovely historic inn. Our hosts, Norm & Suzanne made our Haines experience that much better with their resources & local stories. The inn is within walking distance from downtown & has stunning views. We hope to return!

My wife and I had a wonderful stay in this B & B with the hosts Norman and Suzanne. Very relaxing and Norman is a mine of information being born in Haines and knows about the town and Alaska. We set up a TV on the veranda and had a party for the world cup match, USA versus Belgium. Our room... More

The house is the original floor plan for Officer Woodbury's living quarters dating to 1904 and is full of historic pictures. Rooms are spacious and clean with good mattresses. A large porch with tables and chairs is perfect for a cup of coffee in the morning. Yes there are bikes and a grill to use on the porch too!The best... More

This is the former quarters of the military officers stationed at Ft. Seward. Old to say the least but warm and friendly a all get out. You are on your own to enjoy this part of the Lynn Canal. Nothing touristy here, just beauty and quiet and the mountains. The owners and staff are right around the corner to help... More

This place was perfect. It fits with Haines, it fits with Akaska, and it fits with relaxation and getting away from the things that drive us all crazy! It was like a home away from home and as comfortable as visiting with family. It was as unpretentious as can be and a perfect place to wind it down a bunch... More

Spent 3 wonderful nights at this B&B. Stayed in an upstairs room with a great view of the bay and a comfortable chair to sit and read. Beds were fantastic. Breakfast was simple but good. The kitchen provides a nice place to sit, have a couple of cups of coffee, read your book, and relax. Bradley, the innkeeper, makes you... More

Knowing the history of Haines, Ak, we were excited to stay in the fort built in 1904. Bradley, the manager, was a great help and very accommodating. The owner, Norm, picked us up at the ferry and delivered us right to the front door. The breakfast were simple and very good. Although an older structure, we loved staying where US... More

Our trip to Haines was strictly as a stopover to catch the ferry. This B&B needs lots of TLC. My suggestion is to skip Haines and catch the ferry out of Skagway where there may be better choices of accomodations .

This client couple checked in early evening during our dinner hour. They were directed to their room via intercom and were told the breakfast schedule and informed of various restaurants in the area. They were also informed to call us on the intercom if they had any further questions. They did not, and left early the next morning before the... More
