This location has to be one of the best (if not THE best) in all of Alaska for viewing the Aurora Borealis natural light phenomena. It is far away from light and noise pollution, and allows one to go in and out of the cold due to the proximity of one's room or cabin. The rooms are very warm and cozy with their own smaller front decks, and quick access to the unobstructed field area was perfect for viewing the Northern Lights. Our hosts and co-owners of the Garden B&B, Rick and Bonnie, were terrific hosts to their guests. They offer a nice cooked breakfast hot bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, pancakes, etc. Hot Keurig coffee is always available 24/7 in the room/cabin which is fully furnished with sofa, tables, wardrobe, kitchen sink, microwave, fridge, Keurig coffee maker, satellite TV, etc. What a great service! My wife and I would definitely stay here again on our next opportunity to visit this great State of Alaska and Delta Junction! :-) :-)…
Having stayed at various hotels and inns throughout AK, I am thrilled to report the Garden Bed and Breakfast is our favorite, hand’s down. On this trip, we were hunting the Aurora. We stayed two nights at a well-known lodge about 30 minutes south of Delta Junction and two nights at the Garden B&B. We wish we had stayed at the Garden B&B the entire time. Under a few feet of snow, the approach was like entering into a fairy tale. The warmth and hospitality of Bonnie and Rick were already legendary but, still, we were blown away. We stayed in one of the cabins behind the main house. It was spotlessly clean and it is obvious that the comfort of guests is a priority. No nickel-and-diming here. Our cabin was generously stocked and there was nothing we needed to make our stay more comfortable. On top of all of this, as other reviewers have stated, do not miss their home-cooked breakfasts. Hearty, delicious meals served family-style. In fact, we felt like family. They were flexible with our schedules and made great suggestions for hikes and restaurants to keep us entertained while we waited for night to fall. We had scouted out a field about a mile away to set up and watch for the aurora - but that evening realized it wasn’t necessary. The aurora put on a show right outside our cabin both nights we were there! What a gift! I know there are no guarantees when it comes to the aurora, but we are certain you will not be disappointed with Bonnie and Rick’s hospitality and accommodations. We hope to return and make longer stays at the Garden B&B an annual thing! Do not hesitate to stay here, not even for a second. Thank you Rick and Bonnie - we miss you already!…
We were looking for a place near Fairbanks, and wanted to stay in the country. The Garden B and B, fit the bill perfectly. We never saw a nicer place while we were in Alaska! The flowers are unbelievable, and the yard is very well kept The cabins are very clean and they have everything you need No question, if we are within 100 miles, we will stay there again!
You can tell from the elaborate grounds flower plantings that you will treated to an outstanding stay in this tiny backroad community of Delta Junction, Alaska! Our stay on 15 August 2021 was very restful and pleasant with a full breakfast included the next morning. And what can I say about "Jack" the friendly 3 legged bear dog?? 😁 You will regret passing this place up if you are traveling the Alcon-Alaska Highway!
We loved this place. The room and bed were great. We shared the bath with one other lady but it wasn’t a problem at all. Breakfast was fantastic. Freshly cooked eggs, ham, hash browns and coffee cake. And the gardens! Beautiful! We enjoyed visiting with others that were staying there.
Our all adult family of six rented two cabins for four nights. Everything was great. Full kitchen and gas grill on the gazebo were key as the dining out options in town are limited. Hosts are wonderful, breakfast is ample, and gardens are stunning.
We stayed here in 2006 before the cabins were built and were impressed by the gardens and the hospitality of our hosts. We booked again purely by accident and discovered we had stayed her before. After the long drive from Valdez, we wanted a down day before moving on to Fairbanks so we booked 2 nights. Our cabin was beautiful and comfortable. If this was a resort destination, we would have no concern about staying here for a week or two. It has a fully equipped kitchen, full size refrigerator and stove. Internet is fast and reliable and satellite TV is available but we did not try it. Breakfast was thoughtfully prepared and generous. The pictures speak for themselves. Our hosts are like old friends.
This was one of our favorite places that we stayed in our 8 night trip. We arrived late and Bonnie waited up for us to show us to our room. Our room was great! Very comfortable and loved the decor! We felt like we were visiting friends. The next morning a wonderful breakfast was waiting for us! The muffins were to die for! We had a great visit with the other guests and the owners, then we were off. If we are ever back in this area, we will definitely stay here again and would love to stay longer! Don't look any further, book this!!
The great reviews don't lie! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Garden B&B. We were only able to stay for a quick overnight, but we would be so happy to return again in the future. The house was beautiful and our room had every amenity needed. Breakfast was delicious, plentiful, and it was such a pleasure to visit with the Stillies. Although we visited in late autumn and missed the garden in full bloom, we did see four moose within a mile of the B&B! Thank you for such a wonderful stay!
During my trip to Alaska I stayed here twice, and both times it was great! The breakfast is amazing, along with amazing views, service, and comfortable beds. I would say that this is a must stay place if your in Alaska. If i'm ever back in Alaska I will stay here again, thanks Rick and Bonnie.
