My wife and I try to visit someplace different every time we travel from Philadelphia to Alaska to visit our daughter who works summers in Valdez. We kept hearing people tell us we should see Cordova. The ferry system is a bit convoluted, perhaps due to cutbacks, so it took 13.5 hours for us to get from Valdez to Cordova.... More

Our annual fishing trip is to Cordova, and we always stay at the Orca! Very comfortable rooms, stunning scenery, affordable rates, extremely friendly staff, and gourmet breakfast, lunch, and dinner (daily). The bonus, is that they can professionally process & flash freeze your fish (on site). Lastly, they have a heated 'drying room' for waders/ boots/ rain gear etc... this... More

The lodge is located at the end of one of only three roads in Cordova, surrounded by mountains and water. On the shore, we enjoyed expansive views of the water and watching sea otters float by. We took a group of high school students to the Lodge and we all had a fantastic trip. The hospitality, service, and food was... More

I spent 3 days in Cordova at the Orca Adventure Lodge and it was a wonderful experience. The lodge is a little rustic, but that is part of its charm. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Mine had a great view of the inlet complete with otters and an occasional eagle. The staff was extremely helpful, helping set up tours... More

My husband and I went on John Hill Alaska Tour with a group from Indiana. We stayed at the Orca Adventure Lodge on July 12th and 13th. We were very pleased with our stay. The lodge was not a big fancy lodge but everyone there was pleasant, helpful, and the owners Wendy and Steve were great. The food was very... More

Everything was outstanding. The owner, Steve, was wonderful. His sons, Chris & Carl were extremely knowledgeable and fun to go on excursions with. The food, by Chef Chris, was outstanding, gourmet at it's best! We saw whales, caught salmon, visited a glazier, rode in an airboat and so much more. The scenery is fabulous.

I'm sure it's all been covered, but I will say it again, as owner Steve and crew deserve it after seeing the way he and his staff treats his guests. Myself and 3 friends, having never been before, went into this wanting to experience the best of Alaska without the crowds/tourism. And we wanted to catch some halibut and salmon.... More

Wow! This place is gorgeous both in scenery and in the friendly staff. The fishing trips were well worth the expense. The rooms are simple and clean. The staff goes above and beyond. The food is AMAZING! The wild salmon berries are delicious. I can't wait to go back!!
