Just returned from Orca Adventure Lodge with two 50 pound boxes of fresh halibut and salmon... and some incredible memories. Everything about this experience delivered, and Steve, Wendy, and their entire team provided incredible service at a really reasonable price. If you're making this trip for fishing, you'll be happy. If you're making it for camaraderie, you'll be happy. We were making it for both and had a perfect experience, even in the middle of COVID madness. Highly recommend this trip for families, serious fishermen, or both.

My brother, nephew, and I stayed at the Orca Adventures Lodge in mid-September 2019 and had a wonderful trip. The main focus was fishing rivers for coho salmon, though salt water fishing was also an option, and that is the focus earlier in the season. Cordova is very scenic and the people running the lodge were terrific - very capable of juggling the diverse aspirations of the guests, the vagaries of the weather, uneven salmon runs, and so forth. We caught lots of salmon, kept some and let some go, and had a wonderful time fishing a different river every day. The food was stunningly good, and the atmosphere very comfortable. Location is right on the water and you can look out and watch sea otters from shore and take in the scenery.

We ended a 2 week Alaskan adventure here with friends - and it was perfect! After covering a lot of ground in an rv and dodging the massive wildfires, it was a welcome respite. The picture doesn't do it justice. The views were incredible. Steve and Wendy, the owners, set the tone for customer service with the staff. It was top notch. The lodge is set in an old cannery, steeped in charm and history. The meals were excellently prepared. The dinners were show stoppers - good food in Alaska is hard to find. The dinners and desserts would have been rated amazing anywhere. Highly recommend dining here. Remembering you are in a fishing lodge and not the Hilton, the rooms are very clean, the bed comfortable and the views out of your big windows looking over the water are breathtaking. The guides and excursions are well worth taking advantage of and the pricing well within the guidelines we experienced. All the staff bent over backwards to make our stay the best experience ever. And did I mention the coffee shop cafe? The coffee, soups and pastries are the stuff legends are made of. Highly recommend this genuine alaskan experience!

It just doesn't get any better in all regards. After many years of traveling in Alaska, this place continues to call me back. The salmon fishing in the local rivers and streams is excellent. Fishing the Gulf of Alaska or Prince Wm. Sound is also excellent for halibut and other deep water species. Dining is another delightful experience with many selections available. All delicious. Most rooms are only feet from the Sound, and are very clean. Both management and staff are friendly and accommodating. The price at this lodge are very fair and reasonable. More reasonable than other lodges I have visited in Alaska. The spectacular beauty of this area is as good as it gets . Now planning trip #9.
