Rarotonga Daydreamer Escape located in the village of Vaimaanga, 10kms from the Rarotonga International airport and 12kms to the main township of Avarua. Catering for those who like a bit of privacy in a quiet relaxed atmosphere. We have 6 rooms varying from a one bedroom deluxe with an additional outdoor shower, to a larger 3 bedroom apartment catering for the whole family. A 2 minute walk to the beach and all apartments are spacious with a private patio, pool views and a communal BBQ. Free snorkelling gear and kayaks are available for you to enjoy in the crystal clear lagoon. Free bikes so you can explore the beauty of the island at your own pace.

We stayed here for a week over new years. We really enjoyed it. We booked in the garden apartment, which was the cheaper option but was great. We really liked the privacy we had with a nice sunny little outdoor area out of sight from the other apartments.
It has a kitchen which helped us save a bit of money on days we didn't feel like eating out. We used the BBQ a lot.
Not too far away from good snorkelling spots.
We had a rental car. I'd recommend getting one or a scooter since the resort is not too close to many restaurants (although there are a few and a mini supermarket in walking distance).
Hosts were very friendly. We were given some nice bread on arrival. I was interested in the various fruit and coconut trees on and around the property. The hosts gave us a few little deliveries of fruit during the stay.
Will try go back there if we do rarotonga again.

Staying at day dreamers escape was a literal dream! We were originally staying somewhere else but changed our booking when re looking at accomodation out of curiosity and saw this slice of paradise. Well we were so blessed we did, Rob and Anna were amazing when a few days out from our trip we got covid which meant we had to move everything, they were so accommodating and did it with zero complaints!
Anna also helped my partner organise a lovely bunch of flowers and care package to surprise me on arrival, and the communication was quick and easy.
Rob was so helpful in giving us recommendations for restaurants and activties around the island, we went to literally every place he suggested, (except 1 where we couldn't get a booking) and they were all superb!
On top of all of this, my partner proposed while we were in Raro, and Rob & Anna couldn't have been any happier for us, and even bought us a bottle of bubbly to celebrate! How thoughtful!!
There are so many things I could go on about...
•The lovely breakfast supplied on the first day (home made bread even!)
•The easy airport transfers on arrival and departure for only $20 each way, with Rob even letting us stop at dairys/rental places
•LULU!! The cutest doggo ever, this was a huge highlight for us as we are massive animal people and were missing our dog while in Raro, daily visits from Lulu helped ease this
•Papa & Mata - the caretakers, such lovely helpful people!
•It was also lovely to see how Rob & Anna today their employees, like they are their family. It just goes to show what kind of people they are
•The room we had was perfect, had everything we needed with a comfy bed
•A cellphone with $5 credit was given to us for our stay, what a saver this was! We used this daily when booking our dinners etc
•The pool was perfect, with a lovely outdoors area that we used daily, laying by the pool having a beverage!
•Because the accomodation is quite intimate as opposed to a resort, we made lovely friends and chatted to them daily too
I can not recommend this place enough, and if we are to visit Raro again, I would stay here again in a heartbeat & I tell everyone to do the same!
It has taken us a while to do this review as we stayed 22nd May to 31st May, but it has to be done, a place like this needs to be recognized for what it is!

This is a fantastic little resort, so pleased we finally made it here. We stayed in the deluxe one bedroom which was perfect for my wife and I...excellent living area, outdoor furniture and we enjoyed the outdoor shower which totally makes sense with the climate of Rarotonga. You feel like in paradise: the whole place is (rooms, surroundings, etc.) is created with a lot of lovely details, the place is very clean and what the most positive thing is: the couple who runs the place. Anna and Rob are very helpful, warm and just good people. We highly recommend the place to everybody who considers visiting the cook islands. We will come back one day.

Our stay at the Rarotonga resort has been amazing, from check-in to check out it just got better. We stayed in room number two which is the one bedroom. Plenty of room for the two of us with a well equipped kitchen. Bed is super comfortable. Patio area was a great spot to spend the day. Very close to a supermarket. A great beach with excellent snorkeling is only a 5 to 10 minute walk from the resort. Rob and Anna are a excellent source of information on things to do and places to eat on the island. The resort is very comfortable and meeting new people is one of the great aspects of he daydreamer. If you're thinking of staying at the Rarotonga resort, think no more just book it.

We had a family party of 11 and booked a 1, 2 and 3 bedroom accommodation. All the rooms were clean with kitchen amenities and a beautiful outlook over some delightful gardens. A fresh water pool was available for use on the property set into the relaxing garden setting with chairs, hammock and BBQ facilities also available and which we availed ourselves of.
Snorkelling gear was kindly provided, towels were replaced as often as required.
We were able to talk with Rob and/or Anna whenever we wanted and often just to get local info, very accommodating and personable.
The staff were also very friendly and helpful.
Everyone in our party was very comfortable and enjoyed the facilities immensely.

Superb quiet and friendly laid back resort in Rarotonga. Approx 11 kms south west of the Airport it is only 1km from a 24h 7 days a week mini mart and 1.3 kms away from the Great "Rarotongan Resort". Resort owners are fabulous and always keen to make sure guest are feeling good and looked after.
Would highly recommend as it is spacious why at a good price. Resort has bbq, pool, kayaks and bikes as well all free of charge. Thanks Rob and Anna for an awesome. Cheers! Rob & Veena

The apartments are very nice and well kept, with all the necessities to be self-sufficient. Comfortable beds, mosquito nets on all windows; swimming pool, garden and barbecue area beautifully maintained. The owners go out of their way to assist, give advice and make the stay as pleasant as possible. They made us feel welcome from start to finish. They left a phone in the room with minutes loaded for free. They even held our bags on the last day for a few hours while we waited for our plane.
There are kayaks, masks, fins and bikes (!!) to use freely. To get to the beach you just need to cross the road, and it is very close to car rental, a 24-hour supermarket and the waterfall.
One flaw: wifi requires a fee, but this is common to all facilities, restaurants, etc. on the island.
Super recommended!

If you want a superb peaceful and beautiful place to relax, with charming and helpful hosts, then this is a must stay place. Self contained, well appointed kitchen, spacious bedrooms with comfortable beds, a pool set amongst tropical foliage, and comfy sheltered outside lounging area to read or socialise. Not to mention there's a shared big BBQ and pizza oven. Across the road is the reef with such lovely warm water. And 1 km down the road is a super restaurant. A supermarket and garage are 2 km away. Easy! Loved this place and so reasonably priced.

Great hosts go out of their way to assist, give advice and make your stay as pleasurable as possible. Accommodation is very well furnished with all self-catering needs provided for, with comfortable beds and beautifully maintained pool, garden and BBQ areas. The transfers are $20 each,each way,thank you.We have screens on all windows in the two bedroom apartment except the living area,as the design of the window can not be screened.
