Stopped in for lunch after a day of exploring... restaurant only. We were pleasantly suprised by the friendly waiter and cozy atmosphere. The smoked salmon chowder was disappointing, however, their burgers were amazing! It was apparent why this place was full of locals.More

Amazing burgers! Thanks for that. A lot of people say that after eating one. I am guessing the chowder may have broke (separated) and thus may not be how it should be. That can happen when you use homemade ingredients vs stabilized stocks that are...More
Our new friend Cornelius welcomed us, filled our travel coffee cups, then served us some great smoked salmon chowder. We enjoyed the stop, the tasty chowder, the coffee and the friendly service. Fall colors amazing along the Kenai and Russian Rivers.More

This little gem of a restaurant was a nice surprise on a rainy Alaskan day (is there another kind). After being damp all day we said enough and headed to Gwins for a real meal that didn't involve a back packing stove.
The menu had...More
