There are no words to express what a wonderful experience me and my family had and how wonderful the host Nik is. He made us feel at home. No question was a dumb one. He made things so easy for us. Booked our car as well. Papa picked us up with flower lei's and Nik dropped us to and from the airport.

The accommodation was what we needed and more. White walls, open space, beds, linen, pillows, towels, bowls, plates, glasses, cups, mosquitoes netting on all the windows and coils to use as well. An open wardrobe to hang things, ceiling and floor fan. two bed side cupboards, two stools to place our bags on, table and chairs for eating, microwave and cook top, fridge, dush pan and broom. There was also a line out the back to hang swimming gears and a basin to wash, rinse swmming gears as well. Information on the table with recommendations. Everything you need.

100 meters to the beach which my mokos loved. Also, provides cheap laundry service as well.

Was able to help me to get a headei for a wedding I was attending.

Highly, highly recommended. Lovely place, close or walking distance to everything you need.

Can't recommend this accommodation enough.

It was our first time travelling to Aitutaki island. Although, our flight was delayed, Niki had been waiting for me and my wife patiently and welcomed us with beautiful flower necklaces. We landed around 8 in the afternoon but he was showing us around the town and taking us back and forth for 24 hours-operating convenient store as we needed to buy some groceries. Apart from the top service we received, room condition was absolutely fantastic. Kitchen utensils were all clean including coffee port and toilets, bathroom and the beds are so clean. If you are looking for a host who is warm, kind and treating you like a family with a fantastic conditioned stay, please stay with Sunny Beach Lodge. You will know what I am talking about once you meet Niki. If we are coming back to Aitutaki again, we are staying with Sunny Beach Loadge 200 per cent sure.

Even after winding down on Raro, Aitutaki definitely is next level relaxed. So is staying at Sunny Beach Lodge 😎 I would definitely stay there again! Our host Niki welcomed us with flower ei’s at the airport and took the time to show us part of the island while telling us interesting and useful stuff. He went above and beyond to make sure we‘d enjoy our time on Aitutaki to the max. We had been a little too relaxed about booking a lagoon cruise and it seemed we might literary miss the boat… but Nik came to the rescue and still managed to book us a cruise to One Foot Island!

The lodge is perfectly located, right at the beach and in walking distance of a 24/7 supermarket and places to eat. Our apartment was very clean, spacious and well-equipped. The other guests were very nice and clearly also feeling at home, so it was like being part of a small community.

Meitaki Ma’ata Nik for making paradise even more unforgettable 🙏🏼🫶🏼

We enjoyed the stay at Sunny Beach. The place was very clean and functional for us. Nicky the owner was over the top, from picking up from the airport, booking us excursions, booking a rental car for us. We couldn’t be happier with this place. We totally recommend this place. Elena and Andrea

We had a great stay here - everything we needed and Nikki the host is so lovely! Whilst the lagoon out the front is too shallow for swimming/snorkeling, it's a wonderful spot to lie on the loungers to watch the sunset, and great swimming/snorkeling spots are just a very short n]scooter ride away - which was also provided. I would much rather stay here than any of the resorts or on Ootu beach!

Superb accommodation for our budget. Clean and beautiful. Right on the beach. Close to the town so we could walk there. Nicky was the extra icing on the cake and he looked after us really well. Nothing was too much for him.

Stayed here in July last year, excellent place to stay, clean serviced daily, right on the beach, has all you need in a lower end of the scale accommodation, ceiling fan above the bed, cookinng facilities, hot showers, all linen supplied, and friendly staff.
My only problem is no place on the island (apart from hand washing) to do your laundry, small price to pay for such idylic surroundings.

A great spot. Stay in one of the brand new beach front bungalows if you can. Property is on the same beach as the exclusive Pacific Resort. It is centrally located and is an easy walk into the main township. Rata and family will do everything they can to make you holiday special. My wife and I have visited many pacific islands and this one stands out by far as the best for value and beauty.

After staying one sleepless night at the vile Gina’s Garden Lodge, and with another 6 nights before we were flying out of Aitutaki back to Rarotonga, we were looking for somewhere relaxing, paradisial, and with an all round good vibe. Sunny Beach Lodge gave us exactly that. No demands to pay up front, no nasty big cockroaches, just an easy going, well cleaned, lovingly managed place to stay. The charming Rata Ramea and his family, who manage the lodges, couldn’t have made us feel more at home. Ask Rata anything about the island – he’ll be able to give you an answer. Friendly, amenable, and just frankly great hosts, we can’t say enough good things about Rata – he even brought us a huge bunch of bananas one day, which we took out and shared on Bishop’s snorkelling trip (a day trip we highly recommend). We stayed in one of Rata’s two beachfront bungalows, which have great views out to the lagoon. Cleaned every day, the bungalows were pristine, have a great little kitchen unit, ample fridge/freezer space, really comfy double bed, constantly hot shower, and great big balcony. And you couldn’t wish for a better location – the beach felt like it was ours – we never saw anyone (apart from the odd stroller) in either direction when we went to the beach (about five steps from our door. Brilliant, brilliant. Sunny Beach Lodges made our holiday.

We were met at the airport by Rata and his grandson, both lovely people. They provided us with lots of information about Aitutaki whilst we drove to Sunny Beach and gave us lots of advice.

When we arrived we asked whether the water was drinkable and they said they would advise we drink filtered water. They went home and fetched us 4 giant bottles of filtered water for us which I thought was lovely of them to do.

We stayed in the Beach Front Bungalow for one week. To book we had to e-mail them but it was very easy and we paid when we got there. It was extremely clean and comfortable, had good protection from bugs and mosquitos and was the only place in the Cooks where I stayed where ants weren't a huge menace in the rooms! There's no TV signal in Aitutaki so the TV wasn't much use though. The kitchen was good and had all we needed. The water pressure was great also. Another good point was the room never got too hot, the fans were really good and kept the room cooled well.

The beach we stayed on was beautiful and completely deserted (see pictures). The views from the room were beautiful and you could hear the sea. Lots of privacy and feels like you have your own beautiful beach. The water is so warm too.

The owners came to clean the room every couple of days. They also did our laundry for free in their home every few days. They popped over to see us each day to check if we needed anything. They helped us with hiring a scooter and had bikes we could borrow for free. They also booked trips for us (a Lagoon Cruise is a must!) It's a shame I didn't get to meet Aroha (she was away) but Rata and his grandson were so friendly and made our stay feel really homely.

Sunny Beach is walking distance to various shops where you can stock up on food. It is also a short walk to the Pacific Resort and their beach. There aren't many restaurants in Aitutaki but there are a few places to eat nearby to Sunny Beach.
