We spent 7 nights at Tamanu and could not speak highly enough. Casual luxury is an apt description of a brilliant venue. Our garden villa (soon to be renovated/ updated) was neat island style and comfortable. Staff were attentive, wonderfully friendly, accommodating and warmly professional with 'island' authenticity. The restaurant is open to the lagoon, food was brilliant and service... More

This is an amazingly fabulous resort to stay in..... from the wonderful lady who was our driver who welcomed us like we were long lost family to the manageress who greeted us with cold drinks and gave us a great orientation of the resort. couldn't have asked for nicer. The rooms were wonderful and clean (and cleaned well each and... More

Conveniently located in between and only minutes away from the airport and town. The resort has an amazing sunset, whether you are sitting on the beach or taking one of their kayaks out on the water to take in the moment. You can hire a bicycle, or reception can arrange for a local car/scooter hire company to collect you from... More

We spent 7 nights here and just loved it. We had a garden unit (number 1 right next to the pool with views of the beach). Our unit was clean, comfortable and spacious and had everything we needed. It was a little 'tired' but this didn't detract from a great facility. The breakfasts were great - a wide variety of... More

Great place to fully enjoy the relaxed Aitutaki vibe. Nick and his staff always ready to help. We stayed for 20 days, staff great. On 4 nights the kitchen prepared fish we had caught. Tuna sashimi, grilled wahu, curried fish and Ike Mata. Just sensational. Garden rooms view just as good as beachfront in our opinion. Will go again.

If you are looking for a casual relaxing holiday then put the Tamanu Beach Resort on your list. The accommodation is good, food in the restaurant very good, staff friendly and right on the beach for a snorkel or a bit of kayaking.

We had a buffet and island show at Tamanu, all we can say is wow! The food is tasty and there's plenty of it, the host was engaging and funny, all the staff are pleasant and quick with the service. The island night was one of the best we've been to, amazing fireshow and watching the tourists get up to... More

We arrived in the middle of island night about 8.00pm and they had a table booked for us for dinner which was nice but we were tired as we left home at 4.45am so asked straight after we had eaten if we could be shown to our room. We waited another hour for someone to do this and had to... More

In a nutshell - the resort is beautiful and it's in a beautiful spot. Though if you prefer snorkeling you will want Tamanu, if you prefer swimming and more sand then you may prefer the eastern side of the island. We love snorkeling so this suited us well. The rooms are lovely and all are close to the beach. The... More

My wife and I spent 4 nights at Tamanu Beach in May as part of a 3 centre holiday. We had emailed the resort beforehand and been promised room 210 – a lagoon room with a good ocean view, one row back from the beach front rooms. We were really looking forward to our holiday and hoping for a relaxing... More

Kia Orana, Thank you for the review. I take all of our guests comments very seriously and attempt to resolve all concerns immediately. Many of the statements made in this review are simply untrue. I agree there was a mix-up upon arrival, however I must correct the statement that a particular room 210 was being held for my parents. This... More
