You know you are part of something special when you and your family are greeted by name as you hop of the plane! Best set up on the island and 5 stars all the way! Amazing service, ask and you will receive! We visited other places on the island for dinner etc and asked to look at rooms for "future visits" and The Pacific wins hands down! If you want to be treated like a "rockstar" this is the resort for you. Yes you pay for it.... but its worth every cent. Enjoy.

We had dinner here twice. Whilst the food was nice, on the last visit we had to return three out of the six dishes we ordered (which isn’t something we often do). Both of our entrees were burnt and my lava cake, had no lava. Having said that, they were very quick to replace and also had some lovely wine offerings (which is very hard to find on the island!). James’s service was fantastic. Regardless of sending meals back, would still return.

It’s not often that expectation meets reality…but The Pacific Aitutaki meets this measure and more. The location is sublime, the resort restaurant perched high above the lagoon and pool - with arguably the best view in the South Pacific. The rooms are understated tropical luxe, all with beach access and sea views. The food is excellent, particularly if you like seafood along with a diverse and reasonably priced wine/cocktail list. What really sets this place apart though is the staff - the culture is clearly positive, with everyone from cleaner to bartender, genuine and sincere in how they engage with the guests. When the GM personally comes out to bid each guest farewell and enquire about their stay, it is abundantly clear this is an establishment that both Management and staff are proud to be a part of - needless to say all guest feedback resoundingly positive. Well done Team Pacific Aitutaki, you have a winning formula! Special thanks to the staff - Pradeep, Masi, Stee, Josevata, Baldwin, Ake, Zoe, Robyn, Tu, Dwee. We will be back.

Don’t stay here, although The staff are only doing their job sadly the manager obviously has inflated ideas about their position in the market. Without better management this place will continue to be under booked for good reason. The overpriced bar charged $25 for just 2 beers. Not to mention as a previous review commented the exorbitant charge for their platters. This is an amazing island with far better places to stay eat, drink and share the welcoming people. I have travelled extensively in the world now in my mature years I can safely say this hotel is not what island holidays are about they seem to think they are so exclusive they don’t need to be reasonable and quite frankly no self respecting New Zealander needs to be ripped off by staying here. Do your research there are some fabulously welcoming well located locally owned and operated delightful spots to stay. This hotel is not one of them. Spend your money on the amazing lagoon cruises and support the real people of the island. Snorkelling on this beach is hopeless the lagoon cruise snorkelling fabulous.

Response from Marcus Niszow, Owner at Pacific Resort Aitutaki
Responded Jun 23, 2021
Kia Orana FranM292, Such a disappointment to read your review today and hear how poorly you have rated your experience at our resort, albeit predominantly based on price and not necessarily quality which naturally comes at a cost. Unfair to be judged on price alone. In our entire trading history our resort has only ever received 15 - negative one or two star reviews on TripAdvisor, your review is number 16. Over 1,300+ of our 1,382 reviews rate our resort (including pricing) at a positive 5 and 4 star level - Excellent/Very Good. It is true there are many other places to stay, eat and drink in Aitutaki - better not necessarily, cheaper absolutely. Quality comes at a very high cost especially in the middle of the South Pacific when it comes to operating a luxury resort, comparing the price of beer from one establishment to the next without taking overall quality into account is unfair. Traveller's who appreciates quality, naturally appreciate why the price of a beer and everything else is much higher in a luxury resort versus a laidback lower budget establishment. We cater to a discerning cliental who appreciate a refined luxury experience and who understand we are not ripping them off with the prices we charge but rather facilitating an experience like no other available in the Cook Islands. A visit to any Pacific Resort property in the Cook Islands comes at a premium price but this is because we operate our resorts at a premium cost in order to deliver a standard and quality that is the exception as opposed to the norm in the Cook Islands. The bottom-line is we operate resorts and restaurants that sit in the very limited luxury segment of the Cook Islands market and we try our very best to do it well. In order to do it well we need charge a fair price in relation to the exorbitant cost of doing business in the Cook Islands. We do not have inflated ideas about ourselves nor our position in the market but rather we are committed to achieving our company mission statement which is as follows: "Pacific Resort exists to provide a luxury boutique beach resort experience with a focus on Polynesian culture, architecture and landscaping with accommodation, amenities and guest services attractive to discerning travellers willing to pay for a Cook Island’s experience, thereby providing a strong cash income to sustain future growth and development”. Clearly we are not the right fit for every visitor to the Cook Islands, this is why tools like TripAdvisor and Google exist to help with the research and assist visitors with making the right decision on where to stay based on price and quality. We are proud to say the clear majority of our visitors love their experience at our resorts and appreciate the struggles and sacrifice it takes to deliver quality. Finally, we have full confidence in the management of our resorts and they are by no means under booked but rather fully booked at most times of the year enjoying the strongest levels of occupancy demand in the market. We are grateful for the wonderful and generous support we have received from our guest from New Zealand (many returning guests) since the borders have reopened after 14-months of zero income and significant debt. Your review is unfair but we are comforted to know most people will see this for themselves.

Beautiful clean tidy renovated grounds, beautiful gardens and pool facilities. Staff are amazing, food is premium quality also. I couldn’t say enough good things 100% recommend! This resort has a very ‘Bali’ feel about it. The spa offers superb massages, definitely a place to spoil your loved one
