I was a solo traveler and Roberto and his wife personally greeted me at their dock when arrived. Although I was tired from flights, their warm welcome and hospitality cheered me up in no time. Couple of main points. 1. Talk to Roberto, he speaks pretty good english and gave me a alot of tips about what to do, locations,...

On our four month holiday of island hopping around French Polynesia, we were very happy with Perle de Tahaa. Roberto has himself spread pretty thin doing just about everything himself but, anything we needed or enquires about, he was most accommodating to provide or make recommendations. We were there during the off season, so slower than during peak season. Subsequently,...

I am a very seasoned traveller with high requests and I could find no fault at all to this place. Perfection is the operative word. Get away from the luxury five star hotel which will charge you a bomb: to them, you're just a walking wallet. Head for Roberto's place instead. Both his premium and standard bungalows are of exquisite...

We arranged for a day tour before returning to Tahiti for our international flight home. Roberto and his wife were terrific hosts and guides. We visited the pearl farm, vanilla farm, snorkeling at coral gardens with lunch, rum distillery, and had a room at La Perle to shower off before our flight. Roberto arranged everything including the water taxi and...

It is a 30 minute boat ride by water taxi from the airport at Raiatea. We were met and taken to our accommodation by a young girl who was very helpful. Roberto arrived later to say there was a dinner at the resort as it was a Sunday .. It was a lovely 3 course meal with wine included All...

La Perle de Tahaa, on first blush, looks like a great deal. Don't let the inexpensive room price fool you. By the time you leave, you will have spent as much as if you had stayed in a beautiful resort. Rooms were ok but need maintenance. Our bathroom door did not close and there is an illusion of netting for...

Please consider some time at tahaa and la perle. This ended up being one of the highlights of our trip. Please stay for a minimum of 2-3 nights as there is plenty to do nearby and Roberto gives a great tour. Somewhat of a low key destination, we truly wish we could have stayed longer and thoroughly enjoyed our stay....

Well maintained hotel, modern bathrooms, many ants & mosquitos, great location in front of the coral garden that offers good snorkelling & next to a pearl farm, host was not reachable by telephone in advance, host was on holiday when we arrived, they offered no breakfast and no transport to a restaurant as nobody was there, so we had to...
