Enjoyed the time, summer is off season so maybe 10 guests total including our 5. Nice overwater bungalows, about a 3/4 star level out of 5. Great price and outstanding service. Very rural and private location accessible mostly by boat. Great offsides with Mark for snorkeling and Jet Ski riding. I believe there are around 5-6k residents on the whole... More

This hotel was a strange mixture of good and bad. I found myself liking and disliking it for so many different reasons. First the bad: 1. The pick-up from the airport never showed up. We ended up jumping on to a bus with other tourists destined for the Lapita (more on this later). The bus dropped us off in Fare... More

Honestly we booked this resort because it was the most affordable over water bungalow we could find anywhere so I wasn't exactly sure what to expect. I was very pleasantly surprised that it was amazing! We arrived on a Friday morning. The reservation specialist told me that they would arrange pick up from the airport but there was no more... This is a lovely place...great value, unpretentious, and absolutely beautiful. Bungalows were adequate, clean. The food was very, very good. French-influenced cuisine and chefs who know what they are doing. Wish they had a bar open all the time, but we managed with trips to the grocery in the village. We brought 2 kids and the best snorkeling of the... More

This resort, with its Felicite and the rest of the friendly staff, is exactly what one imagines when one thinks of French Polynesia...palm trees swaying in the breeze, soft sand and clear, warm water. The location is remote (accessible only by boat) and there is no nightlife, so only come here with someone you love to spend time with. Amazing... More

My husband and I just returned from two weeks at the Royal Huahine hotel on Huahine in French Polynesia. We had a delightful time and hope to return. We rented a beachside bungalow (pictured). It was spacious, clean, and the AC worked. Two sinks in the bathroom (a marriage saver)! There's a TV with cable, although I have no idea... More

We actually stayed at Te Tiare (former name with a different owner) back in March 2013. I never did get around to posting a review, so I thought I'd get it in now. Things may be different now, so take this review with a grain of salt. This place was magical for us. It was not pretentious, and had a... More

The stay here more than exceeded my dreams! The overwater bungalow was spacious even with the extra bed, had a large furnished deck and a big bath room, the park like premises were well tended, the water was so clear that you could see the fish from the deck, the staff was extremely warm hearted and helpful and the food... The bungalows are spacious and reasonably furnished. It was great to sit on the deck of our overwater bungalow, day or night, and nice to see the tropical fish from the deck or to slip in for a swim. The deck shower was convenient and warm when getting out of the water. The grounds were beautiful and well-maintained. While the... More

We added a weekend adventure to Huahine after a weeklong stay in Moorea on the recommendation of 1000 Places to See Before You Die. The book said that it was an example of Polynesia before tourism came to the islands. Our expectations were that the island would be untouched by modern development and, for the most part, we were glad... More
