It's right in the Main Street and by the supermarket and restaurants. It's a small town but, enough there. I met great people at the hostel which was lucky as the weather was terrible! Enjoyed the experience

And Chez Guynette is in a perfect location to explore the island. Our room was perfect size and we appreciated the overhead fan and screens on window. Bathroom towels were gorgeous and thick. Very quiet while we were there but that was ok. Owner was very helpful and gave us good advice about to see on the island. Only air... More

I felt I had come home the moment Laurence, the owner, welcomed me at the airport. Pension Guynette is wonderfully well located in the center of Fare. The sidewalk cafe, part of the pension, looks across the street to the lagoon. I rented a room with my own bathroom. The bed was very comfortable, and the sheets clean and crisp.... More

There's a great view of the water and the town, but options are limited (no wine by the glass, even) and the bathroom is basic. There was no toilet paper! We both got the cheeseburger and salad two days in a row. It's convenient, adequate food. It's not cheap, but you are paying for the view.

I stayed at Chez Guynette for 4 weeks and during this time had a pleasant and comfortable stay. If you are on a budget it is the only place to stay while on the Island of Huahine. I stayed at the hostel for the price, location and reputation. I was never disappointed. The central location on the main street across... More

The dorm is OK, but it is on the way for everyone to the kitchen, so meanwhile you are sleeping people are passing by through the room to prepare breakfast. Also, the room is totally open so mosquitoes are free to enter. And the cats in the garden are quite annoying and wild. They'll jump into your bed while you... More

Chez Guynette was our first stop on an 3.5 week adventure in French Polynesia. We did not plan accommodations so when we arrived at the airport and were introduced to owner (I forget her name now) we were so pleased she spoke enough English to communicate with us and she accepted us into her pension. The room was nice and... More

Most people who complain about the price of pensions have only traveled 1-2 weeks in French Polynesia and cannot completely see/compare the cost of doing business in this area of the world. Pension Guynette is truly the pension with the best cost we have found in our travels so far. They are friendly and available when you have requests and... More

My son and I had a small family room with a tiny bathroom. We were there for two nights during the "off season," so there were just another family and a single guy sleeping in the dormitory at the end of the hall. There's a full kitchen, but we didn't use it much except for a few simple things. The... More

This place is great, not because of the structure itself, but for the atmosphere, quiet, relaxed and authentic, sitting in front of the pier with a cool beer we forget the passing of time, we have been here at havaiki nui race, even though it was full of locals who did not really want to sleep, the experience was wonderful,...
