We were greeted by friendly dogs, a cat, several chickens, and two turkeys! Quiet spot. Nice pond out front. Felt relaxed soon as I walked in. Very clean, lots of antique items in common area. Old New England feel, bunkhouse nicely renovated. Hot water in shower was instant. Basic breakfast items plus warm blueberry muffins and coffee ready when we...

We stayed for two nights at the Chitina House B&B on a recommendation from friends. The town of Chitina is a very small place and had just the basics available. The B&B is in a wonderfully old railway bunkhouse that the owner Carla and her husband had restored. The photo history of the work done was amazing. The accommodations are...

Reading the reviews, I decided that finally we have to add some remarks too: First: Chitina is out of the way for everything, so you should be aware that not everything is like in a big town. And that is good so! Second: In contrast to some people we liked the experience that not every B&B understands exactly the same...

This isn't a B&B - it's a money-making venture with the least possible effort in creating a comfortable B&B experience. There was really no breakfast to speak of - dry muffins with a little dish of frozen, soggy berries. We passed on that. The water we were told had dirt in it, so we were provided with water in a...

If you're looking for a Hilton, keep on driving...about another 1200 miles. The Chitina House B & B is a restored railroad bunk house for railroad workers. The B & B owner Karla and her husband have done an incredible job of restoring the property. The B & B is a very clean three bedroom, one bath, large common family...

Chitina House is a lovely historic place. We stayed one night on our way to McCarthy and wish would would have stayed on our way out of McCarthy too! Carla is friendly and knows a lot about the history of the area. The breakfast of fresh muffins, fresh fruit, and cereal was very good! Our room was spacious, very clean,...

We loved our time at the Chitina House Bed and Breakfast. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. They were bright and updated. The breakfast room was available to use at any time, and the owner was incredibly knowledgeable about the area (good recommendations for driving into the park), baked us muffins for breakfast, and was very friendly. The house...

I have stayed at many B&Bs across the US. This B&B fared as one of the best I have stayed at. Immculately clean, charming, and a fantastic renovation. This town is very remote and these accomadations outshine everything in the area. The owner Carla is very friendly and even made me cupcakes for my birthday! Breakfast is simple but ample....

much better in area, 'breakfast' is cold cereal and maybe a muffin. not pet friendly, beds are far from comfortable. Renovation is very well done, a lot of time and money for end result. Considering being very pricey, we expected a better end impression. There are several more B&Bs, cabins, etc. in area, though difficult to find on internet.
