Wife and I just competed a three night stay at Bettles Lodge. What a wonderful trip. From the moment you step off the plane till the time you leave, you are treated like family. Owners Eric and Heather are very accomidating to all your needs and will do their best to make sure you enjoy your stay. The food was... More

We spent three nights at Bettles Lodge experiencing life in a remote Alaska community. The owners of the lodge, Eric and Heather, were really friendly and their hospitality was refreshing. They treated us like honored guests in their home. Eric was a wealth of information and was always available to answer questions and make recommendations. Their photographer, igloo builder, aurora... We just came home after an amazing week in Alaska(2/4-2/13/16). Several days were spent at Bettles Lodge. It was a trip of a lifetime for myself and my husband. The owners, Eric and Heather, were so informative and welcoming. The staff, Lisa, Jan, and Chris, were so thoughtful and accommodating. Chris was the chef and made delicious entrees for us... More

If you’re an adventure seeker, Bettles Lodge is a destination for you. There are a wide range of activities all year round, but I planned my trip for January. I was hoping for Northern Lights and I got them (wow). Like fishing, there are no guarantees, so set your expectations accordingly. Although the lights are a big prize, there are... More

The owners of Bettles Lodge, Heather and Eric, saw to it that our three-day stay in the Arctic was an absolutely positive experience. We went, of course, to see the lights, and that was a truly remarkable experience. But thanks to the staff at the lodge, our trip involved so much more. The food was plentiful and terrific, and we... I went this time during the winter. It was incredible!!! Scenery, the people, nice activities to do, and off course....the Northern Lights! Dog sledging was amazing with 2 very nice peeps, snowshoeing, cross country skiing....you can go off the beaten paths! Eric, Heather are the most amazing people and the chef Chris, makes every meal a feast! Lisa has always... More

Truly the most amazing place I have ever visited. Starting from the arctic landscape beyond any words beautiful - to the mesmerising Aurora (Northern Lights) and absolutely awesome Bettles Lodge team - it really has been once-in-a-lifetime experience, really hoping to also visit this stunning place during summer period!

The lodge has a very good chef, the beds are comfy, and the staff is exceptionally helpful. They make every effort to accommodate you, and are very kind. They really do have cold weather gear. If you're a plus size, just ask, and someone will check what they have to make sure if they have your size. Walking through the... More

This is my 2nd time back at Bettles Lodge. It speaks alot why i went back a 2nd time. If the experience wasn't good or if the chances of catching the Lights is not high, i wouldn't have gone back a 2nd time, and potentially a 3rd 4th 5th time. Catching the Lights depend alot on whether there is clouds... More

Simple but comfortable lodge in the far North. Great place to go to see the Northern Lights. Good food and friendly staff. Dogsledding outings can be arranged and beautiful countryside. The lodge is well located to the Bettles airfield.
