This hotel was clean with a microwave and refrig. There is a restaurant attached to the building so when it's cold you don't have to go outside. Marilyn and Don treated us well and really serve the community. Wifi worked great.

Bethel is a hub community in SW Alaska. It is fairly poor, and exists mainly as a center for crucial services (government, hospital, school). No roads connect it to anyplace else, as a result prices are high, like on an island. Long House is a perfect place to stay while you are visiting. The rooms are spacious, well equipped and...

Clean bed, cable tv and flush toilet. Best option in bethel. Has a restaurant in building. Bathrooms little funky due to door placement , but hey, it's bethel. Close to AC store and other restaurants. Thin walls.

I had the misfortune to be stuck in Bethel, AK overnight & had to stay at the only hotel in town. They charged $235, their so-called "preferred" rate, for a sub-motel 6 style room. Shabby corridor, cheap unpainted deal doors, ultra-cheap pine furnishing. staff unfriendly, gave the impression they were doing me a favor taking my reservation, did not see...

Had to stay there when my fight out was canceled. The carpet ( in the room and in the hallways was worn, bathroom fixtures loose with Luke warm hot water. Could easily here the goings on in the next room. Bedding worn but clean, the mattress, well you get the idea. You simply don't have many choices in Bethel

It is not the prettiest hotel in the world, but perhaps in Bethel. The bed was okay. The room was bland. On the outside it actually looks great and inviting. However, I was not impressed once entering inside. The rooms are clean. There is minimum accommodations and the complimentary soaps etc., are incomplete at best. Lotion but no conditioner? Ha!...

Everything people have said is correct. A tired looking hotel. Big gap under the door. No peep hole in the door. Needs new paint, carpeting, bedding. No Kleenex tissues so provide your own. Bethel has a prohibition on alcohol. In spite of that, two out of the four nights there were disrupted with people who were drunk, yelling and fighting....

I've done plenty of travelling in bush Alaska, and this hotel is as good as you are going to get. I talked to many of the locals in the town about other hotels, and they all agreed on one thing, The Long House is the best in Bethel. On a previous business trip I stayed at another hotel in town,...

Unfortunately for myself, I was forced to stay at this property due to lack of Loging in town. From a very outdated lobby, piles of garbage behind the front desk I was appalled upon my arrival. The teenage front desk clerk was unhelpful, rude, and way too busy surfing the Internet to help in anyway possible. Horrible burns in the...

I was surprised at this hotel, The front desk was manned by teenagers all day and night, the first few days housekeeping was handled by a couple young guys. They were trying to do the job but I doubt they had extensive training in the art of housekeeping. Their complimentary breakfast consisted of a selection of 3 different types of...
