We completely enjoyed our stay in Barrow's King Eider Inn. The staff were very kind and helpful. The rooms were comfortable with great beds, shower and fast internet. I would definitely recommend this conveniently located hotel for anyone visiting the top of the world.

My wife and I travel several months a year staying in both high end and budget places. This is as good as it gets. I can not remember any hotel as nice as our eight night experience here. Very friendly owner and staff. Rooms are of the highest quality. Just amazing considering the location, across from the Barrow airport. Rooms... More

The rooms are nice, the décor cute. However, what stood out was the service, the kindness and the compassion of the staff. As a lone female traveling for work they took exceptional care to ensure that I felt safe and had everything I needed. They went above and beyond in providing information and guidance. I would recommend this hotel every... More

The inn is conveniently located right across the street from the airport. I had a large room with a kitchenette. My room had Wi-Fi and large desk which makes it great for the business person. The inn also had an added bonus of providing me with a vehicle rental. I had a wonderful three-day, two night business stay at the... More

The hotel is very comfortable and the people there are really nice. Our flight was supposed to depart at 5pm and after we checked out the room, they were kind enough to let us stay in the sofa of the lobby waiting for the flight (having beverages and watching TV). The hotel is really close to the Barrow airport (just... More

Decided to go see what is going on in Barrow Alaska. We read many reviews and decided to go to King Eider. Great hospitality, free wi-fi. We were right across the street from the airport. Our room was perfect for -21degrees F. We had a kichenette and a window facing the street. We actually went for a walk and saw taxis everywhere.Very... More

There are not many alternatives in Barrow and this hotel is fairly expensive given what you get. The temperature hit minus 33 C (minus 27 F) when we were there and this place kept us warm. When you exit the crammed BRW terminal you can see the front of this hotel about 20 metres away. The host who is of... More

We stayed here for 1 night. Our room was on the top floor overlooking a cemetery. There are no elevators but the staff helped get our luggage in the room. They have a no shoes policy which we found reasonable given the road condition and amount of snow in Barrow. They are probably doing this just to keep their property... More

Top Hotel in Barrow. It is my cousins favorite place to have have a winter vacation and he has stayed at the King Eider many times!. When bumped off some Alaska flights, I felt blessed to get a room for the night. The room was large with beautiful pine decor. The manager and his wife were so very helpful and... More

It is comfortable, pricey, and you cant wear your shoes. But its warm, the owner is nice, and it is close to the airport. Book ahead, believe it or not , it is hard to find a room in Barrow and this is one of the few places you can stay
