A great B&B, calm and quiet and perfect to spend the first night after arriving or some nights more. Pilar and Xavier are great hosts, very thoughtful and helpful. Nice, spacious room and great breakfast.

Pilar and Xavier are not only brilliant hosts but wonderful, wonderful people. Casa de las Tias was the home base we needed and loved while we stayed in the Escazu province of San Jose. The house is tucked away, behind the main road, surrounded by lush trees and a well established garden. It is quiet, beautiful and has just the most homely and peaceful ambiance. The house itself is sparkling clean and boats a very artsy vibe. Breakfast was delicious each morning. Coffee was plentiful. The outside patio areas were a great place to relax with breakfast or on an evening, watching the sun set. Both Pilar and Xavier helped us with our communications (still learning Spanish!). We stayed there twice while we travelled Costa Rica and will be our first choice forever and always when we are able to visit again! Thank you so much for being everything we wanted and needed on our first trip to this beautiful country. See you again!

Pilar and her husband Xavier offer their guests respite at their amazing B&B far from the hustle and chaos of Escuza and San Jose for that matter, you'd never know you were in the middle of a huge city. Try it you'll be enchanted and not want to leave. Hell, put this place close to a beach and you'd never leave

The place was well recommended by friends who know what I like. The friendly warm welcome, beautifully decorated Inn, spacious but cozy room where I slept soundly is the best way to have spent the night before heading to the airport with a driver who was also very pleasant company. Great hearty full breakfast with homemade juice and unbeatable Costa Rican coffee. I will be back to stay a time during my next visit. Mucho Gracias
