The fun of my life is traveling, believe me I've been to many places and I've always stayed in hostel, believe me, I've never seen anything so bad.I came to spend only one night, it's 3:00 am and I still could not sleep because of the music in the bar, I decided to go to the bar but it's closed...

Room was filthy!! Toilet seat had blood on it, bathroom was dirty in general and bedroom floor was very dirty. We booked the private double with a private bathroom so expected cleanliness seeing as we had paid more for the room than a dorm. Luckily it was just a quick overnight stay. Would not recommend this place. Only saving grace...

Not dirty but not a place for germaphobes. Also not a place for early birds - any type of music (but usually electric / dub) will keep you up from the adjoining bar, also owned by the same guy. Volunteer and paid staff are wonderfully helpful and accommodating. Wifi works well in common areas and certain rooms. Private and shared...

We came to Casa Yoses expecting basic, but clean and friendly. And while most of the staff were helpful and accommodating, when we first got there the guy seemed really out of it and apparently didn't actually check us in. We were early but we left luggage there and were told this was not a problem. We opted for a...

Casa Yoses is really comfortable and cozy. The staff is always helpful and friendly. It is nicely located in Los Yoses where many pubs and freetime activities are. The bus to the center of town or Cartago leaves just a few minutes walk away. I enjoyed the delicious Breakfast prepared by lovely Lore with fruits and Pancakes together with traditional...

I stayed here at the end of my trip... The bed was incredibly comfortable and the breakfast was a plus! I loved being able to use the computers too! BUT... The noise from next door was AWFUL! I literally couldn't go to sleep until 3am. The windows didn't close so the noise was inevitable! Two guys arrived really late (while...

Loved our stay at Casa Yoses. Super friendly staff, great dorm room including lockers, fun hangout area by the pool table, huge communal kitchen, funky bar next door and super close to Soda Yogui (24 hour cheap eats) and the Auto Market (gourmet supermarket). The total highlight though was the incredible free breakfast which was huuuuge - cereal, fruit, coffee,...

When people tell you to stay away from San Jose, they clearly haven't been to Casa Yoses. A beautiful, clean, superbly well equipped hostel, with awesome staff and (by far) the best hostel breakfast I've ever had. Make it a night or two in San José, you won't regret it
