As promised the shuttle and driver were at the airport waiting for us even though our plane was 2 hours late. Check in was easy. Private room was basic with shared bathroom. No towels or soap so bring your own or pay for extra. Well-equipped kitchen, nice garden with small pool. Out of the center of town but close enough...

If you need a place to stay just for one night in San Jose on your way to visit Costa Rica or to take your plane to leave, then this place will do. The website definitley makes it look better than it is. It's a bit dingy and the dorms are crowded, but it's cheap and a 10 minute walk...

We had a night here on our way out of Costa Rica and it was fine but it just could have been so much better! Our room was filthy, the wifi was hopeless, there were no working powerplugs in the room (just 1 broken one in a 10 bed dorm), not enough bedding for how cold it was & the...

I stayed in the dorms here for three nights as I travelled through Costa Rica. This place is huge! it´s got tons of amenities including a pool, a large kitchen, public computers, 2 bars and a resturant. The kitchen is great, there is room for several groups to cook at the same time, and is quite well stocked. The staff...

During my trip in Costa Rica I returned multiple times to San José and with one exception (when it was sold out), I always stayed in Costa Rica Backpackers. The hostel is great and offers all you can wish for as a traveler. The common area is large and the kitchen also, there is a nice travel agent in the...

This hostel is actually beautiful. Has a large pool, great bathrooms and showers, a nice restaurant and multiple hangout spots and a large bar and kitchen which doesnt force You to eat at the restaurant. However, this hostel is way too massive to control the people that come in and out. There is maps on the walls because it is...

Hello! We do have camera system all around the hostel. It´s really weird that you write those comments because several times customers have asked for those even to track items they just don't know where they put. Of course we have used them also when robbery. We have lots of beautiful areas in the hostel which you won't get in...

This little hostel offers a perfect budget option for San José. The beds might not be the most comfortable ever but the location is pretty good and the facilities (pool, kitchen, sofas to chill out,...) were great! the people working there were extremely nice and helped us getting a rental car and were super flexible with our reservations (I was...

Hi! Thank you so much for your comments! We are happy you enjoyed the restaurant! We are really sorry about what happened at the restaurant, we will get on it right away! We have more staff when there are groups so that is not a excuse. Sorry for that! Hope you enjoyed your visit!

This hostel is centrally located in San José which is good and bad. The good is that you can walk everywhere you need to go and all modes of transportation excluding the airport are near by. The bad is that since it is so centrally located, traffic is a nightmare when you're trying to get back to the hostel after...

We stayed the first night in Costa Rica in this hostel. It should be cleaner. It has a nice garden and pool but the water was quite dirty. The bathroom were really old and not in a so good condition. I have stayed here several times while on route through San Jose to somewhere in Costa Rica. It suits the perpose perfectly. The rooms are basic but clean and the atmosphere around the pool and bar is great. There is an info desk with everything you need to know about what to do and how to get around Costa Rica....
