My bed had springs sticking out, the sheets were old and had lots of pilling bobbles, so felt scratchy and they were ripped. There's awful pink soap in dispensers that makes you sneeze, and it's in the shower as well. Cold water only. A tiny tv up on the wall. Spacious and lots of storage, but no where to hang... More

I stayed here for three nights overall, at the beginning and end of my trip around Costa Rica. The best thing about this hotel, besides its relatively central location, is the breakfast. It's about $5 for all you can eat eggs and Gallo Pinto, plus there's Fruit Loops! The staff were also very helpful with bags and recommendations.

Reasonable hotel that was clean and provided a good breakfast for $5 USD. I stayed on 2 separate nights as part of a tour. Rooms (at least on the main floor) can be noisy due to people moving about in the hallway. Hot water was spotty (some rooms had hot water, some did not). Location is good, close to the... More

Location for downtown San Jose is excellent. Lack of Parking is a real problem and expensive. Try to arrange for a room off of street because noise is a problem. The room was very basic but clean. The receptionist was friendly.

This is a pleasant place to stay if you are in San Jose, Costa Rica. It is within walking distance of the center and there are also a number of restaurants and cafés in the vicinity. At $60 per room, you get a spartan but clean and neat room. No air conditioning but an overhead fan circulates the air so... More

Nice hotel, clean, pleasant and had an excellent restaurant for dinner. Breakfast was very good also, with good selection. Area felt safe, and was a convenient location for exploring San Jose on foot. Staff were friendly and very helpful. Used the laundry service which was prompt and inexpensive. I would happily visit again and recommend to others.

Nice hotel slightly away from Avenida Central (about a 5 minute walk) which was very clean and comfortable. Reception staff were friendly and helpful and the buffet breakfast was good value for $5. Poor soundproofing so could hear anything going on in lobby - limited traffic noise though. Would recommend

Dear Guest, Thank you for your nice comments. I am sorry about the city noise, it is now and then difficult to harness the city sounds. Although we work hard to make it less noticeable using double glassed windows. Thank you again for your comments, hope you enjoyed san Jose and Costa Rica. Warm regards Jos de Haan hotel Rincon... The hotel is in a good location for exploring the town centre, and it's also near to some of the bars on the outskirts of town that have a cool feel to them. Would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting San Jose.

My usual hotel was full. At 10 pm, my son and I walked around the neighborhood looking for a different hotel in San Jose, Costa Rica, carrying a heavy trade show bag. I planned to stay by myself and get some work done online. So, we passed several hotels that had signs indicating that they supported the sex tourism industry... More
