Grano de Oro is really nice and centrally located hotel. The hotel has an excellent restaurant for brunch, lunch or dinner. Excellent place for business dinners or to celebrate special occasions. Try the pejibaye soup!!!

Impeccable! So well maintained, beautiful facilities. We were so happy and comfortable there. Two jacuzzis on the roof, great place to relax and forget you are in the city. The rooms are amazing. I have a thing about dirty showers, but these were the cleanest damn showers I have been at a hotel.

The restaurant is very elegant. The courtyard is very quaint and romantic. The staff was attentive and friendly. The food was delicious too. This is a bit of a splurge, but worth a visit if you are in San Jose.

We stayed here for two nights, the hotel looks beautiful from the outside, and it certainly doesn't disappoint on the inside. The staff are amazing, so professional they are a credit to the hotel. The decor is gorgeous inside, an Art Deco look, and the best use of the fact that there is no outside view it's clever you'll see...

We very very happy with the restaurant but not the room. Our rooms were at the side of the hotel on the ground floor, felt very dark and the bathroom quite dated. That said we were only there for 1 night which was fine.

We only stayed in this boutique-style hotel here for one night, but on the breakfast alone I wished we'd had longer. Things we loved were: 1. The breakfast - I had the pancakes with roasted bananas and caramelised macadamia nuts. Wow (see photo). People we coming up to me saying they wished they'd gone for that. Delicious and so big!...

We loved staying at this hotel. The rooms were small but very nice. The hotel is a colonial house turned into a hotel. There is a beautiful courtyard full of tropical plants. They also have a restaurant where the food is to die for!!!! Tropical juices are a must have!!!! They have great service and most of San Jose's main...

We went for dinner with our friends on their last day in SJ before flying home. The ambiente of the Hotel and it's restaurant is beautiful, the service is very good, as is the menue and the wine selection. Everybody was happy! And my husband and I returned the next day for lunch at their beautiful courtyard, before we left...
