Stayed here one night after arrival. Very comfortable and inviting rooms and setting and a good restaurant. Good location near city center -- a bit of a hike but definitely walk-able. I highly recommend it if you are in the area.

We stayed 2 nights on our arrival in Costa Rica. We had a nice clean room with an inside terrace. Staff were all very good. A bit of a muddle at the reception as we had to stay an extra night than originally planned due to the hurricane cutting off where we were due to go and uncertainty over meal...

Stayed here with 2 toddlers for 3 days. Beautiful colonial style hotel, excellent service, beautiful rooms, excellent restaurant, great location, safe parking,... Only thing we would add is a swimming pool.

We stayed here on our first night in Costa Rica and it was a great choice. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the hotel is lovely , an old colonial house that has retained much of its character while having all modern luxuries. Rooms are very spacious with no 2 the same , they are well appointed and very...

Spent 2 nights (non consecutive) in this hotel with my partner. I enjoyed more the first night since our room on second floor was amazing, with a bathtub and a nice 'winter garden' with a fountain. The secon night we have been given a room at ground floor, and even if they said they upgraded us, the room was smaller...

By far the best place we stayed at in all of Costa Rica. Staff attentive, polite and always willing to provide world class service! Rooms well furnished, comfortable and impeccably maintained. Whereas we encountered a fair bit of patronizing behavior and tip-bait-waiting in Costa Rica - the staff at Grano de Oro gladly assisted and showed genuine interest in and...

This hotel was booked for one night prior to a tour so unsure of location. It was such a beautiful place that we enjoyed just relaxing there having a few drinks and dinner. Loved the terrace with little fountain.

This was the first stop on our Costa Rican tour, and the staff definitely made it a good one. Rooms were very clean, but unfortunately we had heavy rain due to the hurricane so did not get chance to use the balcony, but we made use of the roof top jacuzzi. The food in the restaurant is excellent, as is the...

Loved our room, number 24. Comfortable bed, shower over bath 😟, good storage for clothes and quiet. We drank cocktails at the bar, they were great. We ate breakfast both mornings in the restaurant. The first morning we waited 3/4 hour for it to arrive with service that could only be described as brusque. Husbands Pico was lovely, my rancheros...
