I stayed at the Hotel Presidente for four nights in the heart of dirty San Jose, Costa Rica. The ride into the city was about 20 minutes from the airport around 10:30 pm. The lobby was nice, clean and comfortable but you will spend little time there. Next, was the check in which was smooth. Most of the workers there...

Very high quality hotel with stylish twists everywhere you look. The bar could be a little more inviting and the breakfast was adequate but not amazing in quality or range available but fine. The rooms, at least the ones we and our friends stayed in, were excellent. Huge and spacious with a lounge area, spacious bathroom and separate toilet and...

i stayed here as 1 of 2 leaders of a grp of about 30 university students from Singapore in the 1st half of december. so we were a lg grp, with many, varied demands. this place exceeded my expectations. that said, the other leader was the one who made the reservations, so i can't comment on how that process was....

The Staff could not have been nicer. There is a full complement of clean young men and women behind the front desk who are eager to help with any issue. I asked for a larger room using booking.com and the room was enormous and clean. Much more than I needed or expected. This is not a new hotel but other...

We stayed here three times and I didn't really have any criticisms until the third stay, when we had a room on the sixth floor. None of the rooms we were in had a good view (scaffolding complete with a worker right outside the window, anyone?) but the room on the sixth floor looked out onto the emergency staircase and...

Thank you for your review. Just to clarify. The scaffolding is part of an art project, in which the hotel has provided the facade as a canvas for a Costa Rican artist to paint his mural. This is part of a movement to beautify San Jose, and over 60 entries were submitted, with an eventual winner selected by a panel...

I would definitely stay here again. The staff was standout friendly, the breakfast was probably too good because I couldn't stop eating and the space was well appointed. San Jose would not have been the same without this as a home base!

All the industrial, modern touches were lovely and tasteful. Rooms were updated, clean, and possibly the best we stayed in during our visit. The staff was very accommodating and knowledgable; a clearly hard-working crew. The included breakfast with omelette station was also quite delicious!

We actually booked this hotel by mistake thinking it was close to the airport and would be great for our early flight, but it was about 30 minutes away. We've made worse mistakes as this hotel was actually adorable and the staff was amazingly friendly. The common areas were clean and well decorated. The room was pretty standard, but clean...

This hotel has a bit of a facade. The reception is lovely, really modern and thoughtful. The bedrooms are not the same. I think they are slowly renovating and in the meantime have just painted the walls in the bedrooms. We were at the front of the hotel on the 7th floor. There is scaffolding up the front of the...

Thank you for your review. The scaffolding in the front of the hotel has everyone excited and very much awaiting the result. We had an open artistic contest to paint our facade, and the winner started painting his mural. Will be a unique artistic render of the painter's creation which will surely bring life and color to the city. Please...

Rooms fairly old and basic but everything you need for a one or two night stay. Location and service excellent and a nice friendly quirky vibe. Reception and lounge fitted out with antique objects and reading. Good tea and coffee station in reception
