Great hotel for low budget travellers, well located in the city ! The room was spotless and our bed was comfy ! The owner is lovely and helpful. There is a kitchen , however you cannot cook. Anyway, I would highly recommend this place !

We got here late in the evening after a long flight, and the owner, Patrick was waiting to greet us. It's pretty simple and basic and the shower wasn't hot (!) but the rooms are clean and it's reasonably priced. Patrick is very helpful and friendly.

We stayed here for one night on our arrival in Costa Rica. We had a bit of a hitch at the airport and arrived quite late (around 1am), but Patrick (the owner) was waiting for us on arrival and made us feel very welcome. Rooms are comfortable, clean and cozy. I would stay here again!

We stayed here for one night between arriving in San Jose and moving on to Monteverde. We arrived very late and were welcomed by the very friendly Patrick. The bed was comfy, and huge! It was a bit noisy but we still managed to sleep well. The next day Patrick helped us with our plans and was really helpful. Our...

A nice and clean place to stay right in the middle of the city. Patrick is very helpful and can help you organise additional trips to the countryside as well as car rentals etc. There's a train track in front, with trains passing in the early morning and in the evening. That was perfectly fine for me, but if your...

Patrick is a very helpful host, made us feel at home and had answers to all our questions. Casa Leon is very quiet, despite the train tracks (train starts early and stops early, didn't bother us at all). The rooms were clean, the coffee was excellent, it is a comfortable place to rest. The surroundings seemed a bit sketchy, but...

I stayed in the hotel for 2 nights in May 2014. Initially, I was going to be fairly negative but changed my mind during my stay based on my experiences. After several emails confirming my arrival and requesting a taxi to meet me at the Tica Bus terminal, I never received a response. I telephoned the night before to confirm...
