We only stayed here one night so we didn't do much exploring, but it is a quiet location with shops nearby. Staff was very friendly and the breakfast was delicious. An Uber was called for us instead of a taxi which was nice.

I selected this hotel for my sister and I based on the tripadvisor reviews. The room was a basic room but the service was exceptional. Carlos, Natte and Marvin (the cat) made us feel at home. They were very welcoming. Our first night there Carlos walked us to the area where there were several restaurants and told us about each...

Casa Cambranes is a wonderful stay experience in San Jose'. I travelled to Costa Rica as a solo traveller for business reasons at the end of November 2016 and I loved the great care, kind attention and sympathy of the owners towards all their guests. I even expereinced a very bad flu with fever and caugh and Carlos and Nathy...

I have never been treated so warmly by a hotel ever. Knowing that we had just arrived from the USA, Naty handed us a phone to use while we were there, in case we needed to make a local call or to contact the hotel for some reason. Naty and Carlos are awesome. The rooms were comfortable and I loved...

We were pleasantly surprised by the warm caring welcome we received. Four of us stayed for four nights. Hotel was clean comfortable and reasonably priced. Each morning Natty prepared a delicious breakfast with a personal touch. Carlos and Nattie answered all questions about the region and helped us with our plans. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend.

As stated in every other review - the hosts are truly kind and helpful, the room comfortable, a quiet residential neighborhood, and @ a 30 minute walk to the city center. Some reviews said good for one night, but I would argue that the wealth of restaurants catering to the locals is a good reason to stay longer.

Very friendly and helpful; nice, colorful hotel and location. Shops and mall within walking distance. Good hotel to stay at if you plan to visit San Jose, Costa Rica. Daily breakfast was tasty, healthy, and was of local flavor.

This quaint small neighborhood hotel has the most fantastic inn keepers. They will be attentive to every detail of your visit to San Jose. They helped us with local restaurants, tours and transportation.

Nice place to rest, it has a convenient location and very friendly staff. They make sure you have all your needs covered and they're very easy to get in contact with through whatsapp. I'd definitely recomend this place to people needing to have a pkace to spend the night.

After spending a few days up in the Nicoya peninsula I returned to San Jose for 3 days prior to my departure. I had chosen this location mostly based on it's proximity to where I wanted to go. The outside of most of the buildings in the area having grates was, at first, surprising. Once inside however I found this...
