Let me start by saying this hotel was really just fine. It was clean and I felt safe. We spent two nights there at the end of the trip. The only things about it that I found particulary memorable were the negative things. So, three things. The bathroom didn't have a toilet plunger. So... after 7 days in CR, I...

This is a great little gem just blocks from the US Embassy. You can walk to the embassy and there are stores, restaurants and groceries for your convenience. (Don't walk after dark!!!) Because of its central, you can get anywhere in a taxi for relatively cheap. And though technically in Rohrmoser, it is around the corner from Pavas where you...

We were in Costa Rica for 13 days but most of it was on a big group tour. The last two nights were on our own and we stayed here! SO glad we did. Comfortable place to stay and wonderful food! Would recommend this place to travelers. The courtyard is great place to relax and surf on your device while...

I stayed for a month at Casa Lima in one of the apartments that had a bedroom with TV, a large closet, safe, large window, AC, kitchen with stove/oven and nice bathroom. It was perfect for my long stay. I also really enjoyed the location of Casa Lima...just 3 blocks from the US Embassy and the main road in Pavas...

"Mi Casa es Su Casa", for those who need a Spanish translation means, "My house is your house" and this is how I felt at Casa Lima! Run by a Cuban owner Nelson, when asked him to explain a little to me of its history, he said that "Lima" is his mother's last name and it all started with making...

I sometimes wonder who writes some of these reviews, really.... And if they are authentic - even worse, when you know there is so much better to be found! As others have said, this is a small hotel, not a B&B - almost every hotel in Costa Rica provides breakfast - still a hotel. This one was cleanish - and...

My husband and I came to stay at Casa Lima while there having dental work. While I really didn't want to stay in San Jose, it was practical given why we were there. San Jose is very crowded and beyond a couple of ornate buildings and the stadium, there isn't really much to see. I will lay out the review...

We booked this B&B as our starting point for our tour of Costa Rica. We were to be there only one night. Nelson, Emillio and staff were wonderful. The rooms were clean. The food was great. The hospitality was like being in a close family home. The courtyard was the meeting place for everyone. Nelson was helpful with tips on...

My girlfriend and I stayed at Casa Lima in San Jose for the first night of our trip. I would never do this again. The hotel was nice, but San Jose is not. The hotel has a nice courtyard with places to sit, drink and eat. The hotel also is a pizzeria which is good. Our total cost for the...
