The Hot Spring Lodge property is incredibly beautiful and secluded in the Rainforest on a mountain! You can hear the river flowing by and so many birds chirping. You're just a short walk to a waterfall where you can go for a refreshing swim. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. It was an awesome girls trip for 5 very active ladies!
I absolutely loved my stay at the Hot Springs Lodge. We were surrounded by nature. It was a short hike to the most majestic waterfall I've ever seen. Our hosts were informative and arranged all of our excursions. The food was delicious. I really can't say enough. It was awesome and I can't wait to return.
I went with 4 of my close friends - We are very active people and the Hot Springs was perfect - So many trails to explore, things to see and the staff was friendly and very knowledgeable - I loved the interacting with the chickens and the baby goat - that made my day! We enjoyed Yoga in the am and star gazing at night - The food and tropical fruits were amazing and you was up each morning with a choir of tropical birds - it's a paradise on earth! We learned a lot about the culture too - every friendly locals - always with a smile on their faces. Enjoyed taking a break from the world and living off the grid for a while..
This was the most amazing place!! It was located in the Rainforest, close to the Arenol volcano. The hot springs that were on the resort grounds were relaxing and therapeutic. The food was great and the rooms far exceeded our expectations. The resort is quite a drive from the airport, but is so worth it. If you are thinking of Costa Rica try it you will be glad you did.
What an incredible journey-from milking goats, gathering eggs, and picking fruit for breakfast - to relaxing on the porch having coffee in the afternoon watching it rain. Proprietors Scott and Diane Nieminen make it special for their guest to have a full adventure in the rainforest at Hot Springs Lodge, Costa Rica. Hiking to beautiful waterfalls, cooling off in the spring fed pool, a day on Catamaran, relax on the beach, zip lining, 4-wheeling, visit to the spice farm, delicious meals, among other activities. The beauty of the Lodge, flowers, trees, animals, do not do it justice you must see and experience the adventure! I look forward to my next visit! Ann Darden
By far the most breathtaking place I've been in my life and one the most spiritual moments. Scott one of the owners is the greatest. The stay for there with me and my wife will be in our memory for the rest of our lives. If you looking for real Costa Rica experience this is your destination
We stayed at the lodge and had a great time. The lodge owner, Scott, is kind and very accommodating. The resident chef will treat you well also. He is a great cook. The lodge is Eco friendly, so be prepared not to have a big T.V., but rather solar power and a good book with the true enjoyment of nature. Highly recommend !
Me and my new wife had the amazing opportunity to spend our first week together at the Hot Springs Lodge for our honeymoon and we had already planned our next trip back before we even left! It was like having a second family we never now about there. The food was absolutely to die for and was always enough for seconds and even thirds for big eaters like me! We took the tour threw the mountain and to the hot springs and it was the best hick we have ever took in our lives no doubt! How beautiful was the hot springs. It was hard to believe we got to do something like that, almost like being in a movie! Don't miss your chance to enjoy this exotic and well organized hidden paradise.
We only spend a day at the Hot springs lodge, so wish we could have stayed longer, the hotel, personal and just everything was just outstanding. Worth every penny! The drinks and food are well worth the money you spend. The views are incredable. The wild live is just there. This is paradise in Costa Rica.
I had the pleasure of staying two nights at Hot Springs Lodge. It is located on some of the most breath-taking property I have ever seen. Now, keep in mind that you will not have air conditioning (fans in bedroom) and it isn't like staying at an all-inclusive resort in Costa Rica, but I believe I left with more special and beautiful memories than I've had at many fine resorts. The lodge is a fully sustainable facility--solar power, filtered water from nearby mountain spring, and foods grown locally. Scott Nieminen is one of the kindest and most accommodating host you will ever meet. Scott truly went out of his way to make sure each of us had a positive experience. He even drove the airport to make sure we all got on the plane back to San Jose okay. The food prepared by two local residents was amazing. I will never forget sitting in the rocking chair on the back porch watching numerous humming birds feeding. There were so many of them at one time they created a beautiful sound. The walk thru a portion of the rainforest was also an unforgettable experience. I hope one day to return with my husband. If you are looking a place to relax, enjoy the beauty God has created, you simply must spend time at Hot Springs Lodge.…
