On our way to the ferry we stopped here. Little did we know it was a public holiday (mothersday!) and the hotel actually was closed. They still welcomed us with open arm and made us feel very welcome. The jacuzzi was nice especially with a beer and a small snack! The room was nice with AC. Unfortunately traffic is very...

This hotel is spotlessly clean and had everything you need to spend some good time in Puntarenas! Included breakfast was delicious and filling, the room had enough space to put our things on. But the best thing about it was the friendly and helpful family running it. They did everything to make us feel at home, gave tips about the...

This beautiful, small hotel is located away from the noise and hustle-bustle of the "downtown" area, and to reduce traffic noise ask for a room facing the pools . This is an elegant, small, place to stay. It is more "inn" than hotel. The owners and staff are warm, friendly, and accomodating. The hotel is secure, with limited entry and...

We stayed here the night before leaving on a cruise out of Puentarenas. We were disappointed to find the hotel was a 10 minute taxi from the town, as we like to walk everywhere we can. The room was next to the main road, so very noisy. The bed was very basic and not very comfortable, as were the pillows....

Driving in Costa Rica Is not advised - poor visibility, treacherous roads with pedestrians walking on the shoulder all invite potential disaster. However, when you arrive at a hotel after 12 hours of travel at 10pm to be informed by the caretaker that the hotel is CLOSED your reservation a joke and the next 5 hotels on this spit of...

We just spent a night here and found it to be a very clean, welcoming and pleasant place to stay. Only stayed one night as it was our in between point between landing in San Jose and taking the ferry over to Pacquera the next day so I didn't get to explore much around the hotel. However I will say...

The hotel itself is a nice place to stay but....as it is situated next to the main road out of Puntarenas the traffic noice is overwelming, specially during night time in the front rooms. The fact that it is situated near the main road means also that a lot of dust is coming into the front restaurant while you eat....

The owners are very kind and helpful. They were wonderful hosts. We loved the pool area. It was like a little oasis and the kids had a great time swimming. The food was excellent (brazilian specialities). The private indoor parking was great. The room was very clean and the beds were confortable. There is noise coming from the street across...

The Brazilian owners, Christina and Miguel, are wonderful hosts and manage an excellent hotel. Upon arrival, you are invited to join them in the beautiful, quiet courtyard with a welcome Caprihana! The courtyard provides a secluded area to enjoy the pool and/or spa, the outside lounge and the bar. Overall, the rooms are very clean, the service outstanding, the food...

The feel of this lovely, small hotel right on the beach is warm because of so much wood in the furnishings, walls, flooring. We were made to feel really welcome, including our 20 lb. dog. Because the restaurant was closed that Monday, we were given a glass of wine and told of good fish restaurants, especially Deliciosos which we highly...
