My second trip to Boca Sombrero was as fantastic as the first! If you want to truly enjoy the Osa Peninsula Pura Vida-style, this is the place. Their location right on the beach, delicious freshly-prepared food, comfy houses and cabinas, sweet surfing and overall good vibes make for a priceless experience. Muchas Gracias to Monika, Lily, Sylvia and all our...

We rented a house in the property for 5 days after trekking around other parts of the country. This was a great way to end the trip because we had a beautiful property, house, and beach practically to ourselves. Monika is very accessible and she makes sure you have everything you need. We were offered the option to have breakfast...

Boca Sombrero is managed by a wonderful woman named Monica who was warm, very welcoming and very professional. Monica bent over backwards to make our stay beautiful and memorable, a excellent host indeed! There are a few high-end and expensive Eco-Resorts in the Osa and I have stayed in two of them. Previous to checking into this home, I stayed...

This retreat was very beautiful. It is a lot like camping. Everything is open and you sleep under mosquito nets. The shower is outside and public. The beaches are not white sandy beaches. They have a lot of pebbles and rocks. There are also a lot of crabs everywhere. I really enjoyed my stay here, "camping along the beach". There...

I've been to Boca twice -- once with a group of friends, and just recently, with my girlfriend. I'm not the type to return to the same spot over and over but this place is just too perfect: sun, surf, wild jungle action, monkeys, and nary another person around. What makes this place so special is that it is spread...

The people and property at Boca are truly on top of their game. They know how to make sure everything is as you need it. Walter, Monika, Grace and the others made our stay truly memorable. The house was very clean and had all we needed. The internet rocked which is unusual for this area considering the remoteness. The pool...

This place is amazing! Jungle grows out of the back of the property and ocean spreads out before you. Turquoise and blue outside the great little surf break, scarlet macaws flying overhead, an arborist's dream... I spent a week on a yoga and surfing retreat at Boca Sombrero, and came back a new man. The Osa and Puerto Jimenez are truly remote, so you are really, really on a retreat. I shared the Casa Troya, a unique and beautiful hardwood and thatch structure, from which you can see the surfers in action. No alarm clock...
