We slept 3 nights in this beautiful beach casa and it was amazing. You have to drive half an hour on a dusty bumpy dirtroad from Puerto Jiminez, but it's totally worth it. The house is just a few steps away from the beach and felt really luxury. The bed was comfy, the shower too. There was a fully equipped... More

Thank you Monika, Lilly, Luke, Flor and all the special Boca Sombrero people who have become friends over my three years of attending yoga retreats here. I joke that i may never see the rest of Costa Rica because Boca is so magical. The delicious food, perfect location, warm hospitality and myriad activities will keep me coming back! Pura Vida... I stayed in Casa Troya with my father and a friend. It was just amazing. Footsteps from the beach with an amazingly large terrace you can sunbath on and listen to the sound of the Ocean. The house is fantastic, providing a sitting area, the terrace, a great equipped kitchen, the bathroom is super cute and upstairs you find the... More

I stayed for 14 nights at Casa Troya within Boca Sombrero, built with an open concept design allowing me to enjoy nature at it's fullest while being protected from the natural elements. The front deck of the house is about 15 to 20 feet from the beautiful, powerful Pacific Ocean and during high tide displaying ferocious waves similar to Cabo... More

My wife and I went to Boca Sombrero on a surf and yoga vacation and we totally enjoyed ourselves! Monica, who runs the resort, works exceptionally hard to make sure each guest has an amazing experience. The food was exceptional and the chefs prepare dishes with fresh ingredients and can meet everyone's dietary needs. The property is located on the... More

I went to Boca Sombrero on a Yoga Retreat for a week. It's been but a day since I left, and I made a Trip Advisor account just to review this wonderful place to ensure the closest thing I could get to a thank you, to everyone there. The people who work there are all sweet, talented, gracious, caring, and... More

My second trip to Boca Sombrero was as fantastic as the first! If you want to truly enjoy the Osa Peninsula Pura Vida-style, this is the place. Their location right on the beach, delicious freshly-prepared food, comfy houses and cabinas, sweet surfing and overall good vibes make for a priceless experience. Muchas Gracias to Monika, Lily, Sylvia and all our... More

We rented a house in the property for 5 days after trekking around other parts of the country. This was a great way to end the trip because we had a beautiful property, house, and beach practically to ourselves. Monika is very accessible and she makes sure you have everything you need. We were offered the option to have breakfast... More

Boca Sombrero is managed by a wonderful woman named Monica who was warm, very welcoming and very professional. Monica bent over backwards to make our stay beautiful and memorable, a excellent host indeed! There are a few high-end and expensive Eco-Resorts in the Osa and I have stayed in two of them. Previous to checking into this home, I stayed... More

This retreat was very beautiful. It is a lot like camping. Everything is open and you sleep under mosquito nets. The shower is outside and public. The beaches are not white sandy beaches. They have a lot of pebbles and rocks. There are also a lot of crabs everywhere. I really enjoyed my stay here, "camping along the beach". There... More
