The location of this place is primary as this area is limited and there is not much more after you pass Puerto Jimenez. Over all the place is nice and their food is amazing unlike another reviews you see where people criticize the food I found it nice and real Costa Rican authentic . My only problem was the mattress... More

The food we had there was of really bad quality. Even something really simple like a salad had no taste.. The tropical chicken was not to eat and we had to leave it on the table frightend to stay the night at the toilet if we had eaten up.

We stayed here just a single night before we went on our excursion through Osa Corcovado Trekking. We chose a $30 room with A/C which worked out great - pretty much this was just a place to rest our heads which is exactly what we got. The room was clean although the shower left a little to be desired. Unfortunately... More

It was so hot that I was glad for the air conditioner to escape the heat. Even though it is located next to the cafe it was quiet. I also had a tv. The room was cleaned daily and breakfast available at the cafe. The staff were all really lovely and welcoming. The room is large and cell like. It... More

Carolinas was a convenient stopping point the night before and the night after our Corcovado Trek with Osa Corocvado Trekking ( office is next door to Carolinas). The airconditioning was most welcome. The curtains on the window are quite see thru and allow a lot of light into the room. The shower looked like it could do with a good... More

The small tranquil town of Puerto Jimenez is one of those places that I don't get tired of visiting. I love it! I've stayed at La Carolina almost every time. The rooms are clean, comfortable, with free WiFi and the A/C works well. Plus its smack dab in the middle of the town providing easy access to finding tours/activities in... More

I went to Puerto Jimenez from 10/2/2014 - 10/6/2014, and I gotta say it has been one of the best times I've had so far this year. Puerto Jimenez by itself it's a charming town, and Hotel La Carolina is the perfect place to spend the nights after some rough days of adventure. It's a really chill and couzy place,... More

The room we had was big and clean. For under 20 $ it was a good deal. The bars outside were not to loud although we had the room towards the street. We think the owner might have changed seeing all the very bad comments below. It is a normal budget place and the staff was friendly. Still, there are... More

We returned from Corcovado in the late afternoon and needed a place to stay for the night. The hotel is a basic, functional, main street establishment. We found the rooms large, clean and the AC was fine. There is an inner courtyard for parking your rental car off the street. Price was very reasonable.

If you are traveling on a budget and just need somewhere to sleep in the evenings then I would recommend this place. The newer rooms upstairs are nicer but slightly more noisy. My boyfriend and I stayed here for two nights as we did a day trip to the Cocorvada National Park and there seemed little point in spending more... More
