We booked far in advance 3 nights for February 2016 including 3 tours and 2 nights as package. Our room (no.12) did had a perfect veranda looking on the top of the threes with daily toucans and monkeys in it! It was a large room with a good AC above the bed. We had a lot of bug inside, partly... More

Our three-generation family of 6 rented the "casita" for 8 nights. The room was perfect for us, although the arrival of a large group of American students that had to be booked into the same hotel caused us to be transferred into the neighbour Villas de Oros for 2 nights. While the owner was very gracious about the whole situation,... More

This could be a great place with some updates. I little paint and caulk would go a long way. The kitchen area is a great idea, but there is NOTHING available. Not a knife to cut fruit, no plates, no utensils. We had to borrow everything from the kitchen to have a simple snack. The pool area is gorgeous. When... More

Hi travellers Vilas Gaia is unfortunately quite close to the highway and C.R. lorry drivers have a very bad habit of using their jake brakes. The newly paved highway causes these morons in their lorry to travel a little faster and use the jakes to slow them, going into the corner. This makes a lot of noise. You will hear... More

This hotel has nice big room. Eventhough it's located next to main road it's not too noisy! They serve a good breakfast with eggs as per your choice. Recommendable is the nightwalk you have to pay additionally with USD 15 per person

I stayed 3 nights at Hotel Villas Gaia. Its relative isolation and distance from a beach suitable for swimming was disappointing but the accommodation, food, surroundings and staff more than compensated. The accommodation consists of cabins set well apart in the hotel's tropical gardens, each with its own verandah. The pool and breakfast gazebo overlook jungle leading to the sea.... More

We enjoyed our one night stay in Casita #3. Although the traffic seems loud during the day, it is quiet beginning at 10pm or so. We highly recommend the night tour. The guide is amazing! Breakfast was simple, and they cook eggs the way you choose. We thought the food in the restaurant was good--try the Indonesian style fish! We... More

We stopped here twice on way to and from osa peninsula. The casitas are spacious and airy, did not have to use the air-conditioning as fans were effective. The restaurant serves high quality food and is good value. Particularly liked the duo de ceviche. Road noise a bit distracting in the restaurant, but masked with good music.

The two of us stayed there 3 nights. Our room was near the pool and was spacious, clean, comfortable, well cared for, quiet, private, pretty and had wonderful views of the jungle and the ocean. We loved it. The grounds of the hotel are well kept and beautiful. Like staying in a park. Breakfast (provided) was delicious with fresh fruit,... More

This small collection of private cabinas is just West of the highway and tucked in a nicely maintained bit of the forest. The grounds are well kept, the cabinas clean and comfortable. We visited in early January and were able to stay only one night, but it was restful and the staff were friendly, warm and efficient. Breakfast was included... More
