The place is located at a very beautiful place. The rooms were decently nice. The view waking up was wonderful but the service was not amazing. Meal times were hardly set in stone and when a time was given, the food was always an hour late. They also dump their trash in a trash pit outside created by them which... More

I loved this place. From the 1.5 hour boat ride from Sierpe, to the wet entry landing off the boat to the 300m uphill walk to get to the lodge, this piece of the world is great. If you like birds, monkeys and quiet, you will like Punta Marenco lodge. This is not a luxury hotel. It is a rustic... More

I went for 4 days, stayed for 6 and didn't want to leave. I loved every minute of my stay at Marenco lodge. My friend and I had fairly low expectations having read some of the bad reviews on TA, but we were pleasantly surprised. The facilities are basic, no wifi, no hot water and no electricity most of the... More

Excellent place to stay if you want to live among nature. A truly memorable experience and a lovely host, the food and lodge was more than I could ask for in the rainforest. The meals were homemade and delicious. Be careful of the monkeys, but as long as you lock up your belongings, they will only make your stay all... More

We stayed here for 3 nights, as we booked the full package (includes 'full day' Corcovado trip and Cano Island trip) which was included in our itinerary. The location and sense of adventure was nice enough, but the rest was dissapointing. You have to reach the area by boat, the pickup was decent enough and the lodge itself is a... More

We came here because of the recommendations of a bird book. We expected to use the trails in the forrest next to the lodge but those have not been maintained so we were highly disappointed. I can also confirm that these people do not really know how to run a hotel, that it is too expensive for what it is,... More

The location of this lodge is idyllic. It is on a hill overlooking the ocean and surrounded by jungle. The rooms are spartan but comfortable enough and some of them have sensational ocean views and also catch the breeze ( important in the humidity of Corcovado). The service, however, is perhaps the worst I have ever had. The dinner service... More

I absolutely loved the location of this lodge. Set up on a hill overlooking the ocean (in plain sight of Isla de Cano) surrounded by lush jungle and wildlife. You are in nature - so expect everything that comes with that. You need to walk up a hill to get here (which can be slick in the wet season) and... More

We spent three nights at Punta Marenco in July. It is a beautiful location but unfortunately the place felt a bit run down and the staff seemed quite disinterested. The rooms are lovely with the mesh all around but they are not sealed so expect creepy crawlies to get in (we had a scorpian). The food was simple but nice.... More

This is a hotel with basic standard but with a great view over the ocean. The resort is a 10 minutes boat ride from Drake Bay over viewing the jungle and the see. In the horizont you can see Canoy Island. The resort has friendly staff which do their best to support you during your time at the resort. It's... More
