All other reviews tell of the boat trip and this is very much part of the magic adventure - though it's a tad 'bumpy' en route there because of cross currents. The section through the mangroves really makes you realise you are going away from so called civilisation into the unknown. The wet landing does make it essential to have...

I do think that these clients gave a good recommendation that it is a good idea to wear water shoes when you are traveling to the hotel and they will be of great use for the Cano Island tour and any other tours where we use a boat. Flip-Flops or rubber sandals just don't cut it, they are slippery and...

The trip to the lodge is a once-in-a-lifetime adventure: mangroves, crocodiles, monkeys, iguanas...the Sierpe River and the Pacific Ocean. Casa Corcovado is a very secluded paradise in the middle of the rainforest. You can find tapirs, coatis, tucans, parrots... right outside your room. Bungalows are very comfortable and they keep you in contact with nature. Everybody was really helpful. Our...

Passion for the jungle kind of grows on you, and so will other things if you stand still long enough. Humor aside, I am glad that this family could see and feel, experience the rainforest and develop a passion for it. Perhaps someday one of these young people will lead the fight to preserve the last remaining tracts of rainforest...

We stayed as a family of 4 in a deluxe bungalow. Casa Corcovoda Jungle Lodge is a wonderful place to stay. The trip via boat was quite an experience - a wet landing does mean wet so be prepared! Trails lead directly into the national park and there are several trails that can be explored on your own around the...

It's very nice of you to say that Casa Corcovado was the best place that you stayed in while in Costa Rica. That is quite a compliment seeing that there are so many lovely places in the country. I agree that Steven, the manager does run a very ''tight ship'' which can sometimes be a challenge in the middle of...

We did not really know what a "wet landing" was. By law no one can put a boat dock into the Pacific. You are picked up and dropped off by outboard speedboats landing on the beach. The men put your luggage into black garbage bags and put them in the front to keep them dry. Then you wade into the...

I think that this review does give a pretty good description of a ''wet landing''. I hope this can clear up some doubts about this. Thank you for the help. Glad that these guests had good wildlife viewing and got to see the tapirs around the gardens, which is always a thrill. Thanks again, Steven Lill owner/founder

The staff is very accommodating and super nice. The grounds are spread out and immaculately kept. There is wildlife throughout---birds, monkeys, butterflies, acoati, even a couple of tapir. The walks in the jungle are challenging, and the bungalows far from the main area, which is great for privacy and animal watching, but can be daunting. The outdoor shower with its...

A ''great adventure'' is a good way to look at a trip to Casa Corcovado. We are different and you really are going to a special place in the middle of the rainforest. You do have a great chance to see birds and wildlife and even tapirs in the gardens. I really liked that this guests noticed the blue light...

Totally opposite to anything we have previously stayed in. Only accessible by boat, so 'wet' landing. Bungalows wonderful and quaint, although we had problems with the showers which were a bit hit and miss. Loved the atmosphere of evening and early morning

We do try to be unique and different though I think our secluded jungle setting gets a lot of the credit. I also love the early morning and and evening hours, the soft light that changes with each moment. I am bothered that there still are problems with the showers, we are planning a job to improve the situation in...

After our stay in Liberia, The Fetching Mrs. Rat and I headed to Corcovado National Park for three days and two nights. We took a bus and a taxi(interesting but tiring) to Sierpe. I think this is a nice, complete but fairly concise review. Casa Corcovado is a good place to relax and get away from the world and I too recommend the night tour, you do get to see some cool critters and funky, funky bugs. I will try and see if I can do something about those troublesome monkeys and I...
