Beautiful eco friendly hotel in an amazing spot of Costa Rica. Just getting there is a beautiful experience. We booked a Nacional Park Corcovado tour with Guide and we saw a young powerful puma chasing some "pizotes" . An amazing experience. People at the hotel were wonderful with us. Great food. The instalations are great to keep contact with nature...

Pictures or descriptions will not do this place justice! From the hour drive from Puerto Jimenez and the 40 minute walk along the completely deserted beach you will be captivated by the beauty of nature in the amazing part of the world. The scarlet macaws fly by, howler monkeys echo in the distance and spider monkeys play in the trees...

La Leona is a very special place. Its hard to get there, its an adventure. The logde is on the beach, next to the Corcovado NP. Animals are all around you. (Monkeys, ara, frogs, crabs etc) You can book tours with professional guides and they have self guided trails as well. I recommend to do both! The tents are beautiful,...

Never had this kind of experience before. 2 hours drive on bumpy roads. 3km hike to the lodge. Slept in very comfortable tents close to the ocean with a coconut shower where monkeys and Ara's are above you. No electricity nor wifi. An amazing staff takes care of you with exellent food an great drinks. The guide in the parc,...

The La Leona Eco Lodge is a beautiful place, with comfortable tent-cabins (some with shared bathrooms) either perched on the hillsides overlooking the ocean or right next to the beach. We chose the mountainside tents because they are fresher, shaded, and provide stunning views, including a view of a macaw nest! The private bathrooms in these cabins are open-air, quaint,...

My wife and I pulled into Carate to hike the trail to Leona. We happened to meet Adrian Morales, who I believe is the manager of the lodge. He was very helpful, answering any questions we had about the area and invited us to stop in the lodge for a tour and refreshments when made our way there. We did...

If you want beautiful settings, the sound of the waves at night, monkey spotting from your tent porch and true jungle hiking on your doorstep then this place is for you! The walk along the beach to get there just adds to the whole experience. Absolutely loved every minute of our stay, thankyou La Leona!

This is a spectacular location and well worth the walk along the beach to reach it. Scarlet macaws will accompany your walk whilst the waves roll in from the Pacific. The tents are comfortable and the open air bathrooms very well equipped. There is no electricity here so bring a torch although candles are provided. The excellent food magically appeared...

Food was wonderful, drinks were suer tasty and lodge in general is super romantic. Manager was very kind and we left the place thinking that we would like to come back one day. PURE PARADISE. PURA VIDA... Bad news was to find out afterwards that they did not provide us with the guide that we had asked for to Osa...

This place really grew on me. It is a remote ecolodge which is a 45 min walk from the nearest village Carate (which is itself a very bumpy 2 hour drive from the nearest airstrip at Puerto Jimenez); it consists of tent cabins with no electricity or wifi, but which are spectacularly situated overlooking the beach and gardens. Hammocks are...
