Magical place with clean lodging and wildlife everywhere. We watched a capuchin monkey family groom and feed each other while reading from the deck this afternoon. Then some macaws came to visit. Very special place with special hospital folks working here to make your stay really comfortable. B&B atmosphere in the middle of a beautiful jungle.

A late review as my wife and I were fortunate to stay with generous hosts Katya and her husband Terry, not once, but twice, over the December holidays in 2014. We travel often and value genuine experiences. Costa Rica promises some of the most pristine natural flora and fauna but frankly, it is difficult to find either without a Disneyfied,...

We( 5 adults, 4 children, or as Terry jokingly called us " family of 36") recently spent a week at this lovely remote lodge. My wife and I stayed here in April 2013: so apologies for a rather late review. We stayed here because of the rave reviews. On a bunch of counts it did not disappoint. But there were a couple of things which threw us. The good: The setting is marvellous. Remote, overlooking the Pacific and rooms completely open to the elements....

We loved this place and Terry, Katya and gang so much the first time...we decided to go back a year later! Even with the record-breaking rain and hurricane, Terry & Katya made sure our travels to and from the lodge were handled, even if not as originally planned. This was our second time at the Lookout Inn. We have come with both our children and were in for a real an exceptional treat. The inn is a unique place for nature lovers. We just spent a unique, eventful stay at the Lookout Inn, near Corcovado National Park in Carate.
