Secluded in the tropical rain forest bordering Corcovado National Park, Luna Lodge is a unique resort described by many as "...a piece of true paradise". Its appeal is, not only, its natural beauty and environment, where the heliconia hang three feet long, and the howler monkeys wake you in the morning, but also, its ambiance. The owners' passion for the preservation of the forest is ever present, and the attentive courtesy, friendly staff always serve "con mucho gusto... with pleasure".

My wife and I booked 11 days at Luna Lodge for our 10th anniversary. We have done many trips together, but this is the first vacation that truly changed me. Experiencing the pristine air, waterfalls, streams, birds, butterflies, flowers, towering trees, and animals felt like

The staff at Luna Lodge went out of their way to welcome and care for us. Beautiful location and people. The property was in great condition and you can feel the energy of the rain forest. The noises of the jungle are my new favorite way to wake up!

I wish I could, Im just a private person, not a tour guide or company. However, we did many mails and reseach on the same matter and can gladly recomend you to contact Osa Birders. Javier is utterly one of the best guides to give you recommendations. Good luck and a great trip//Helena

Hi Jimmy, I strongly recommend an internal flight from san jose to Puerto Jimenez airport, the flight takes about 45 mins and I think we paid about $120 US for a 1 way flight. it's about 5-7 hours by car. luna lodge dropped us off at the airport and built the cost of the transport into the cost of the stay. it's about 90 mins from the town / airport to luna lodge.

When we were there the sea was rough so not very safe for snorkelling , there are calmer seas further up the coast I believe?

Hello, you could drive straight from Monteverde, but that would be a long drive , maybe 7-8 hours. Otherwise you could take a plane from San Jose that leaves you in Puerto Jiménez ( 40 minute flight) and from there take a taxi to Luna Lodge ( one and a half hour drive). Best, Lisette

"The nature-lover tents are awesome!"
"the hacienda rooms are the easiest to get to, the deluxe tents have the best views"

"I had the pleasure of being in tent G, which is at the top of the hill. The best view I think, but also the longest climb."
