We have stayed in Patrice and Simon's bungalows twice and loved our stays both times. If you value being away from the madding crowd and don't require living in the lap of luxury, this place is for you. It would be very useful to rent a motorbike or car, although we made do without both times. We are planning to... More

My fiancee and I spent 5 nights in Casa Estrella just after getting engaged last year. It is a secluded, beautifully designed and landscaped little house close to the beach and close enough to Montezuma without being surrounded by others all the time. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor sitting areas, outdoor shower, and abundance of wildlife to watch in the... More

We stayed in bungalow Sol. The kitchen is veryequipped and the hosts were more than friendly. The hand drawn map, as others mentioned, is very useful. They provide you with a tide chart, bus schedule, and recommendations of things to see and places to eat. While there, we rented an ATV for the day, which was great for getting around... More

My wife and I spent two weeks at Estrella from December 22nd - January 4th. Patricia and Simon were very friendly and impressed us from the start with cold beer as they welcomed us, to providing us with a hand drawn map of the area which proved to be very helpful. We walked on average 8km everyday (it's roughly a... More

My husband and I spent 2 glorious weeks at Solyluna. Simon and Patricia were absolutely fantastic hosts, giving us lots of pertinent information when we first arrived and always available if we had any questions. They would offer to pick things up for us when they travelled to Cobano and did our laundry for us! Our bungalow was beautiful and... More

Patricia and Simon are absolute wonderful hosts. Their bungalows and the grounds that they sit on are BEAUTIFULLY maintained. You can really tell that they love where they live, and sharing that experience with their guests. Patricia and Simon greeted us upon our arrival, showed us around our bungalow, and gave us great resources (like a great little hand-drawn map!)... More

My wife and I spent the first week of our honeymoon at SolyLuna and ended up extending our stay by a few days because we loved it so much. Patricia and Simon are by far the most wonderful, hospitable, and helpful hosts I have ever had the pleasure of staying with. They have created a truly special place to share... More

This review is a bit overdue. We visited Sol y Luna in early April for a week and had an amazing time. We were looking to decompress someplace away from crowds and tourists but did not want to be totally isolated. The location of Sol y Luna was perfect! It’s about half way between the small towns of Montezuma and... More

A beautiful place surrounded by nature and wild life. The cabin is lovely and has everything we needed for our 4 day stay. Felt like we were in a paradise, waking up in the morning, getting a cup of tea, and just lay in the hammock watching howler and capuchin monkeys jumping around. Never wanted to leave! Beach is only... More

“2 bungalows to choose from, with a larger one being prepared as I write this. It is evident that they put their heart and soul into making Sol y Luna (and Estrella upcoming) a very unique place to experience!”
 of 5 bubbles 469AndrewO, Oct 8, 2012 | Read review
“We stayed in the Sol bungalow- which i loved the setting of, especially the solitude of the porch, but the Luna bungalow (set higher on a hill) is lovely with a serene color palette. Both bungalows have the same floor plan and are mirror images of each other; though the Luna has a daybed while Luna has a wooden bench across from the bed. They are also opening up a larger house that is absolutely stunning, though the landscaping isn't as mature as the smaller bungalows yet.”

“If I had to choose between the two bungalows I'd choose "Sol" just because I like the view a little better”
