If you wanna wake up hi5-ing a monkey or saying goodnight to a colorful iguana, this is your place. You can spend your evenings reading a book on the swing, hearing the noises of the jungle or having a talk in the common area (facing the Ocean) to a fellow traveler. We loved this hostel a lot and was a... More

Charming common area with great book exchange and games to play. Luciano was working the reception and with a smile accommodated our incessant questions about what to see, where to go next, how to get there and where to stay. Stayed in a 5 person dorm beside the kitchen which was clean and had a good oscillating fan. I'm intrigued... More

Myself and a friend stayed here both in the dorm and upstairs. It's a great deal for solo travels, esp 30-40somethings looking for a nice clean quiet place, yet still to be around people. It's far enough from the center to have peace and close enough to walk. It's up the hill so, be ready for that but I found... More

We booked a double room with shared shower/toilet. The kitchen was very clean and well equipped. Another good thing was that they gave us new towels everyday. The room was not that big, but it was enough for two people. The shower was quite sandy...seemed they dont clean it a lot. furthermore it was quite expensive. To sum up, luna llena... More

quirky and quaint and perfect for my solo stay in Montezuma! I loved my tiny room and the personality of the place. If I were staying longer I would have utilized the community kitchen to cook....but I also couldn't resist the great food down the road in town! I'll be back ASAP.

Although the luna llena hostel was set in a beautiful local, with very nice/clean appearing rooms and friendly staff, we unfortunately experienced one of the greater pitfalls of hostel traveling. Upon waking up and resuming our next days travels, my boyfriend and I discovered that we had been prodigiously attacked by bed bugs during our one night stay. We are... More

We stayed in Montezuma only one night but would have loved to have stayed longer. Luna Llena has the most special atmosphere and the staff were so friendly and helpful. So many lovely touches and a stunning view too.

We shared a 4 bed room with another duo and payed $13,75 pp - GREAT deal for this place! Built beautiful on a hill side, eather from your room or from the communal lounge you can see the sea and jungle. Monkeys above us, armadillo while brushing my teeth. Nice big kitchen you can use for cooking. 100% recommendable

Luna Llena Hotel is a youth hostel... so if you’re looking for a nice private room with a private bathroom, I would recommend you to look elsewhere. We had the room 6 – double room with private bathroom – for which we paid 65 USD per night, a fortune for what it is! The bathroom was teeny tiny and not... More

We stayed one night at Luna Llena. The surroundings were beautiful. There is a great ocean view and the rooms on the upper levels are right at treetop level. We had a private room with a queen bed and a shared bathroom. The room was fan-cooled, which worked out okay. We had options to open the windows and let in... More
