My wife and 2 kids stayed at El Sano Banano for 4 days in late December. We had a great time, and enjoyed our stay. Rooms were clean, staff was excellent, offered us us some advice on where to find to good ceviche, and the included breakfast was ample. We didn't make much use of Ylang Ylang's facilities (sister hotel),...

The staff are very nice and helpful, the breakfasts were very good the coffee excellent. There are three tables out front which are the best to sit and watch the craziness go by. Order yourself an Imperial sit back and enjoy the view. The rooms if you're expecting the Ritz it ain't. There's no hair dryer, fridge or tv, but...

First time to Montezuma, loved it. Will definitely come back. Staff was very very helpful and courteous. Food was excellent. Laid back. Used the sister hotel ylang ylang for yoga classes, pool, massage and also dining. It's a nice walk down the beach to ylang ylang and if your timing is right visit the sea turtle hatchery along the way....

We had a VERY negative experience at another hotel in Montezuma. Luckily we were able to come to El Sano Banano and stay! We got a very good deal online. Included breakfast which was really good. We had a room with two queen beds. It's not a large room. I don't recommend it for more than two people. We had...

Very nice! We really enjoyed the pool and gardens at its sister resort, Ylang-ylang. The beaches are amazing, truly a magical place in Costa Rica. The hotel is centrally located, making it easy to walk to everything. The staff is friendly and very accommodating.

We stayed here for 3 nights while in the area. Room was clean and quite large. The only thing was there are no windows so got quite stuffy and muggy and the ac made the room stink really bad. We had the free breakfast every morning and it was good! WiFi only worked for the most part in the common...

Clean, comfortable, well located. I will come back, for sure. Breakfast is ok, friendly people, good place to be. Problem is access to the city, but nothing related to hotel. Bathrooms clean and polite.

I stayed here with a friend for 4 nights. It is a no frills hotel but the rooms are clean and the air conditioner worked. For the price you can't beat it. There are cut outs in the hallway to the outside so you're likely to see small lizards scampering along the walls. Our room was properly cleaned everyday and...

We stayed here for 3 nights and thought it was great for the price. Staff was friendly most of the time. The AC was great but the rooms are super dark inside! Really close to the beach and restaurants as well. The fact it was connected to Ylang Ylang resort made it 100% worth it -- we could go use...

We loved our room with air conditioning, wi-fi, breakfast included, and just a very friendly staff. The breakfast was delicious and a perfect way to start the day. The location was ideal, right in the middle of town so everything was within walking distance. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Montezuma, it was affordable but still included...
