where do I even start... We got a mountain side room.... but everything was bad: from the ugly smelly room (musty) for $35 a night, plus $10 for air conditioning... to the awful noise coming from the road just above the hotel.... dirty kitchen, nonresponsive staff... it's just awful! Definitely not worth a penny.

This is a absolute no go ! This place is not healthy ! The doors of the rooms are all open when you arrive there. We know why ! They have a big moisture problem in this building. We hartly could sleep that night, we even went outside a couple of times that night to get some fresh air. 6...

We have been staying at this hotel 2 nights, paid in advance, if not after one night we would have left. tHis hotel looks quite nice when you arrive, there is a kitchen, useful if you don't plan spending too much money, but regarding the room.. We paid 40 dollars with no hot water (not needed anyway). There was an...

My husband and I were honeymooning in Costa Rica. When we arrived in Montezuma we found La Aurora was under serious construction. I had been in frequent email contact with the manager and she never breathed a word. She said I could either break my reservation, no cost, or she would upgrade me to room #9, the largest third floor...

I arrived on a Thrusday afternoon. Look into El Jardin and was told $80 for a room without windows and the size of a closet and very dark! I walked across the street to this hotel and was given an upstairs room (#11) with a lanai and A/C for $65 - it would have been $55 without the A/C. I...

The rooms were advertised on the street for $40, but we paid $65 for a/c and upstairs with a lanai. The lanai was nice, and the a/c was more than adequate. The rooms were clean, and I didn't see a single insect in my room the entire stay. The only complaint I had was the noise. The walls were so...

We were planning on spending 2 nights here and only stayed 1 of them. Rooms are not that clean, like squashed mosquitoes on the wall. No mosquito nets and the AC is only so-so with its cooling power. If you stay here be prepared to be eaten alive by bugs. Bathroom vents were screen less so any bug that wanted...

the rooms upstairs are definitely worth the extra $10. we were really disappointed when we saw our room - it was like a jailcell. it was definitely the worst hotel we stayed at on our trip. we wandered around the hotel and poked our heads in the upstairs rooms, which were lightyears nicer. all the outdoor space is great, as...

At first the hotel didn't seem to bad, their shiny brochure stated that all rooms had AC, Hot water and cable TV, which seemed cool since the room was $35, then when we were being shown the room it was $10 extra for AC and had no TV. We took it for $35 without AC, at first the room looked...
