Pargo Feliz is a great place to stay in Montezuma. It's right on the ocean with a private garden in front, lots of hammocks and lounging chairs, and friendly workers. The rooms are cleaned every day. It's extremely affordable. I would recommend Pargo Feliz to any traveler in Montezuma.

We ended up here because the hotel we had intended to stay at (and had booked for 3 nights) turned out to be an enormous disappointment. We got lucky and they had an open room for us. The only downside about this hotel is that you can't make reservations online so you have to either call or you have to... More

We really liked this budget option hotel but the live music across the street drove us tearfully away. The rooms are basic with no air con but have powerful portable fans to keep cool at night. Both upper and lower rooms have outstanding porches that are common with other rooms, but set up in a way that makes them private... More

They accepted us with no reservations, and were most gracious, off season. Right on the beach of a great town. Roads around Nicoya Peninsula are bone jarring, to be nice. Once there, a walk around town helped. Felt a bit like old west.... Met a number of Bulls enroute, and a " cowboy" came riding thru town with a couple... More

We stayed 4 days in this cheap so-called hostel right in front the ocean. We booked for 1 night, and then didn't succeed to leave :-) . The rooms are basic, but very big and clean for the standard. Wifi is working, hot water not really but I assume people travelling in Costa Rica have decided already what is more... More

Stayed here for 3 nights with my girlfriend and we both loved it. The staff was very relaxed and helpful. There's even room service which was great and not expected as we didn't have this anywhere else in Costa Rica. The garden was amazing and it was soothing to hear the beach at night. The plumbing wasn't that great but... More

The hotel is very basic, but it is a bit pricey compared to what it offers. No air conditioning. And only ventilators in the room, which is not enough for the warmth and humidity in Montezuma. The shower had no pressure at all. It took around 30 minutes to wash shampoo out of the hair... Enormous downside! Breakfast not included.... More

The ocean views really sold us but the rooms themselves were a little terrifiying. There were dead bugs on the floor and the bed sheets looked like they hadn't been changed since 1973. The restaurant - Cocolores right next door was fantastic!

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for three nights last week. We payed 35 dollars (45 for upstairs) for a room with private bathroom. We didn't think it was worth 10 dollars more for upstairs. Maybe better view but we loved it downstairs. Every room has a table and chairs and a hammock outside which was great. We loved the... More
