Perfect spot for those interested in the Manuel Antonio park. You can walk to the park as well as Espadrilla beach and several restaurants. Accommodations are at the top of a steep hill, but the staff has golf carts that they will drive you up and down whenever you like. They

First of all; it is not a beach hotel - more of a mountain hotel. The stairs make a great workout (or you could get a ride with the golf cart), it is really close to the nature and we saw and heard lots of animals from the balcony. It also had an amazing view of the national

The hotel is nice and has a wonderful view of the beach, beautiful sunsets, the rooms in the 4th floor are worth the view. Jose Alberto saved the day for us in the hotel, he is wonderful with customers, we had a very good experience thanks to Jose, kuddos to his customer

Checked out of the El faro beach hotel a few hours ago and I wanted to do a review to counteract those negative reviews below. Out of everything our only complaint is the WiFi - but I believe it was slow due to someone streaming NFL. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful

Not sure how this compares to other hotels in the area but compared to our other stops in Costa Rica the food here was poor and the staff average (except the guys who drive the golf carts up the hill - they were all charming!). The hotel is pretty tired, could do with a refurb.

There is a very steep hill but you don't need to walk it. They have a golf cart that will take you up and down. This is a wonderful hotel. Don't let the hill stop you. The container concept is a lot of fun. I would recommend getting a room with a balcony. You can watch the monkeys swinging in the trees from your balcony.

Can't remember but some places do charge when you arrive. Not known it to be before

The people seem relaxed so can't see it being a problem but it's probably easier to use one nearer the sea
